Thank you so much for everything you do for the community Suvi. You've made vtubing accessible to so many, you're truly a beacon of positivity and a lot of us would be lost without you. Much love

Thanks! It works in 2024

Yea it still should work but is not very optimal way. Best is to use vtubing app like VNyan that supports props
@petroleumtaco3 жыл бұрын
Omg Idk how i didn't see this earlier cause I've been making new models for each prop. Thank you so much 😅😅

In Blendshapes, i can't see in the material list a material I just added, any help? Thanks for the video :D
@cocolf4 жыл бұрын
3:02 I don't know why but the materials do not appear in the list when I add it in blendshapes
@Suvidriel4 жыл бұрын
This happens when you add the accessories to your model in scene tree instead of clicking the "Open Prefab" and adding the meshes there. Blendhsapes use the prefab - not the scene tree-version.

I'm having the same error. But the problem is that I doble checked if i imported everything in PREFAB, and the texture is still missing
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
@@ClobyPlay Ok sounds a bit odd. Maybe try exporting the model with the imported assets, reimport to a new project, fix the missing materials if any and see if it shows up then
@yourmimic11843 жыл бұрын
even when importing a prefab i made of a single object, it wont show up in the material list. when showing the folder its in. its not even the right file. instead of asset it's some random file type with no meta data added to it

Thank you for this tutorial! Is it possible to use new blendshapes that can be added as hotkeys in vseeface so we don't have to use default expressions to show/hide objects?
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
yes and that's how you should do it. You can bind them to hotkeys in vseeface's expression-settings
@itskiggu3 жыл бұрын
@@Suvidriel Thank you so much! I didn't realize you could bind expressions that weren't the "defaults", this opens a whole new world!!

@Suvidriel is there a way you can make new materials (that aren't already on a mesh) that you want to apply to future meshes, and make them show up in the blendshape options?
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
You can create new materials but the materials need to be assigned to meshes to show up in the blendshape options. The unassigned materials will not be exported with the vrm model.

Is there any tutorial on how to trigger the additional made blendshape.clip in vseeface to make the object appear? I have added an additional blendshape.clip but i didn't see it in vseeface aside the 6 default expression.
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
You can add blendshape clips to hotkeys in the expression-settings. If your blendshape doesn't appear in the list then I recommend you re-import your model to Unity and make sure the clip actually exists

Is it possible to do the same thing but In blender? :)

I've tried and I'm still having difficulty :/

I appreciate the tutorial! I do have a question though. I unpacked prefab, added my prop to the model (in this case it goes to the right index finger) and when exporting as a VRM and loading into VSeeface, it states that there is no longer a VRM Blend Shape Proxy or Blend Shape Avatar assigned. And now the model has no face movements. Any idea what could have gone wrong?
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
It sounds like the blendshape avatar got reseted somehow. The blendshape-avatar is basically the blendshape index. If you select your model in Unity it should in inspector have a field for the blendshape avatar. To that you need to assign the blendshape-index (File called Blendshape) from the blendshapes folder
@TheMethodus3 жыл бұрын
@@Suvidriel Yeah I saw that, looked like it assigned. There was a lot of blendshape details in the folder. I'll double check when off work. Thank you for the assistance! Your tutorials are a HUGE help with this whole process!

No matter what I try, I can't get the sounds to work :( It works in Unity, but when I put it into VSeeFace, it just refuses to play any audio.
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
Are you exporting it as VSeeFace avatar bundle instead of vrm?
@PlumcakesGames3 жыл бұрын
@@Suvidriel I did, but sadly, nothing. I messed around with some settings and now I can't even get the vsfavatar file to run in VSeeFace. I think I may just give up :( But I appreciate the quick response! Your videos have been a HUGE help!

how do i get prefab ???

What do you mean? Like where to get accessories or how to add them to your vrm model? The part 8 of my tutorials covers the addition of accessories to vrm model
@WatchingLizard4 жыл бұрын
@@Suvidriel I don't see the prefab option

@@WatchingLizard ahh you mean the "Open Prefab"-button? It should show when you select the vrm model. Make sure you have the latest Unity and UniVRM installed
@KuroechiCH3 жыл бұрын
does this method work for clothes too... so 1 character 3 clothes ???
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
Not really. If you want to swap clothes then a lot will depend on the kind of armature the clothes are using. If they all share the same armature then it's very close to this but if not then you might run into issues. If you were to model all clothes on top of each other in blender then yes, you could use this technique. If all your clothes are using same model - just different texture then that would be the easiest and you could just swap texture coordinates
@KuroechiCH3 жыл бұрын
@@Suvidriel not using blender,..can it use vroid for costume???
@Suvidriel3 жыл бұрын
@@KuroechiCH Sadly you'd need blender to merge the different meshes since vroid uses different armatures for the models.
