In this step by step tutorial I show you a quick, easy way to hide those annoying large pores and make them look smaller in seconds. This is a fantastic anti-aging makeup technique for mature skin because often we find our pores get larger and more noticeable as we age. If you’re over 50, using this method will give you a blurred effect making your skin look more poreless and fresher.
I hope you enjoy this simple makeup tutorial. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions on other beauty topics you’d like me to cover. 💖

@TheBeautyProtocole

Hi hun. Yes I totally get this. I tend to do most of my treating at night so I don’t end up in an oily slick during the day. So I use Drunk Elephant F Balm, which is really hydrating, at night mixed with my night cream. During the day I use a Hyaluronic Acid serum under my moisturiser (I’m using Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream at the moment but any light moisturiser will do if you’re using a good Hyaluronic Acid. I did a video about this and Vitamin C. It may help you to choose a good serum. I also like the IT CC cream as a foundation (very moisturising) and the Trinny London BFF tinted serum as a very light, natural and hydrating foundation. Hope this helps xx

I'm feeling discouraged. I'm 49 years old with a combination of dry/oily skin, big pores, hooded eyes and skin tags on my face. I've tried every technique I could find to try and accomplish a smoother face, but I always end up looking cakey, pores are more noticeable and skin tags really show. I drink water, been moisturizing since I was a teenager, wear sunblock, etc. and my face just doesn't look nice. What am I doing wrong?? Help!
@TheBeautyProtocole
@TheBeautyProtocole 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Christyne. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I completely understand that if you're not happy with your skin it can be disheartening. The good news is that there may be some things you can do to help. Firstly, that's fantastic that you wear sunscreen. That contributes enormously to keeping skin looking younger. Regarding skin tags, have you been to your doctor about these? They are normally quickly removed by freezing them or burning them off. Both are more or less painless. There are some skin tag remover products on the market for home use but for the face area I would definitely go to a healthcare professional. Hooded eyes can be tricky but also very beautiful. There are lots of ways to apply makeup using simple techniques to open those eyes. If you don't have one already I suggest buying a lash curler. Curling the lashes and then applying mascara on the top lashes only helps to open the eyes. There are some great products that will help to minimise the look of your pores. What theses products do is make them appear smaller by exfoliating your skin and unclogging your pores. To do this use products that contain retinoids (I use Tretinoin which is prescription retinoid and I have done several videos on this), niacinamide, AHAs and salicylic acid (BHA). Maybe try Paula's Choice Resist Daily Treatment on your oily T-zone area. Be sure to cleanse twice a day and thoroughly remove any makeup. Use warm water. Not hot. Do you mind me asking what foundation you are using and do you apply powder afterwards? For large pores it is recommended that non-comedogenic or oil free skincare and makeup is used so that it won't clog pores. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Kindest, Sheena 💖

Skin tags can be removed / burned from a dermatologist. I am 48 and I did just that last month .my face is smoother .I also have prone acne skin.very oily but with age also dry ! Not mentioning i also have hooded eyes .micro current can help as well as face work out / yoga .Hard to manage all this and the more i age the longer my skincare routine .just looking basic now takes me several hours a week between the face massage skincare etc as I work from home now I rarely make up so I have more time for skincare. A face scrapper helps preventing dead skin build up weekly .microdermabrasion do help preventingskin tag in my opinion....it's not easy.the more we age between hair skin care try keep in shape shaving etc it takes as much time as a full time job really .consistency is very important .you will see results

This make up is suitable only for you because you have wonderful skin at this age. Even in my age 30, I have more more larger pore skin than you. And also dry skin. But you have very small and few pores with a oily healthy skin. Whatever I use my pore doesn't hide.

@@HangNguyen-rp8vp Hi Hang...No I wasn't wearing any makeup at the beginning of the video. For sure at almost 57 using the most active skin care is important and Retinol is part of my nightly routine as it slows signs of aging and keeps my pores open and healthy because it clears clogged oil and dead skin cells to make pores 'appear' smaller. No cream will 'shrink' your pores though. It may be worth watching this video I did if you haven't already: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoHSdINta9djrdE I did a detailed video on the use of Retinol. Have an awesome day 🌸🌸

@@simplelife6831 Hi here....It may be worth considering using a Retinol product because this is the BEST anti-aging product type on the market. @@TheBeautyProtocole garnier ultra lift and finishing off some gatineau defi lift, i use so many different brands, use to have combination skin type but now it's dry yet sagging,im doing facial exercises to try to tone up sagging facial muscles, as the face sags, the large pores sag too,that's what's causing the verticle line shaped pores

@TheBeautyProtocole 2 жыл бұрын
@@nopretribrapture2318 I used to have combo skin too so it took me awhile to adjust my skincare to work with mature skin. I now treat my skin more gently. The following may help: Use a gentle cleanser, exfoliate using AHAs or BHAs (this helps to unclog pores without stripping your skin), moisturise well, wear sunscreen each day. Use a retinoid at night to help stimulate collagen production and to strengthen the walls of your pores. You may want to check out this video which I posted recently. The No3 toner and serum (not expensive) will probably help especially with balancing your skin barrier so that it doesn't feel dry. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqTSh6OKoNqdnrM There are some amazing laser treatments that would help with the pores and assist with addressing some of the sagging to tone the skin. Hi there. Large pores are very tricky. Some laser treatments will help to refine the look of large pores as they treat the skin health overall. Fraxel is still one of the best for resurfacing but this can be a hard core treatment and needs to be done by a medical expert. I suggest going to a Skin Special (Dr) and getting some advice hun ❤

Hi Tracy. I have had my lips filled but not for ages though there may some residual filler remaining. I found as I got older my lips became thinner, less firm and much drier / chapped. Filler really helped. I also use great lip pencils just to draw over my cupids bow slightly to make them look fuller too. If you're keen to get it done please make sure you go to someone really good and try just a little first. xx
