This is the most practical hip throw demonstration I've seen online. Also notice how he gets his waist line below the other person's. I've heard from other teachers that's important if the other guy is bigger than you.

In classic wrestling, a very similar move is very common called a “head and arm” instead of grabbing the body and tricep, you grab around the back of the head and the tricep.

As a judo man, gotta point out that all judo throws are solid but don't try these in competition until you can hit them with your eyes closed (meaning at the right moment and perfect timing), otherwise you risk being in a very bad position and getting thrown yourself depending where and how deep you are in the failed throw attempt. That's why the good old single doubles are way less technical and easier to master and safer (to some extent).
