@@nomerespondaselcomentario In boxing circles I have seen it called as a 1000 mile stare, look through the eyebrows. It is not automatic IMHO- that you get into "squeezed" state. It is your overall conditioning to prevent that happen (and knowledge of the opponent&environment). In that case I could rely on my jab to get time, space and air. But you can also have some scenarios prepared what to do when cornered and under pressure etc.

I love the double end bag, constantly practicing slip counters, distance, pull counters, etc. I think a beginner will probably struggle to do all these things in this video, but the best boxers I see, usually are great in this bag

The key about hitting a double end bag, first off is to not blast it lol. That's the first thing beginners do, and then they stuff the bag trying to hit multiple times, not letting it get it's natural bounce. You have to actually know how to pop or snap your punches first before you can hit this like her.

Coach I had a trainer explain to me back in the day that the speed bag is the most useless tool in boxing. I tend to agree...can you touch on that. Either pro or cons of the speed bag? He said it was to "look cool" lol. He loved mits...heavy bag and doubled ended way more...as far as tools.

At the same time it definitely does help with shoulder endurance and can be a nice break from using other equipment. But if space was limited almost everyone I know would invest in a heavy bag with a double end bag as a second.

So I have a boxing match this Saturday and its with the guy I fought with last month in my very first boxing match ever and went in with no training or experience and lost.
