Thanks! PE teachers emphasize using the whole body for every shot- footwork first to get to the ball. Non- dominant hand tracks ( target for you on the forehand) then it helps with balance and finally it helps create torque / power on your shot and quick recovery for the next shot.

Best thing I’ve seen to date. No one on KZbin when teaching the forehand ever mentions DROP the the head of the paddle down. Completely a game changer! You teach the mechanics brilliantly.

Good thing he didn't use a thesaurus, because i don't think anybody wants a "fantastical" forehand.

I noticed that a lot of the top players/former tennis players cock back their wrist early during the start of the takeback step. Others keep their wrist pretty straight. How important is cocking back the wrist during the takeback step (this would be before the drop, where it makes sense to have a cocked back wrist at the drop for lag with the forward swing motion)?
@universalrackets

hold the paddle loose and it will automatically do that. do not think "cock"because that will probably make you hold tight and ball will go long

@@universalrackets Thank you! Also when should you contact the ball for groundstrokes? At the top of the bounce (apex), before (rising), or after (falling)?
