I'm used to being able to confirm from medium normal into medium normal so this is truly a challenge for me but I think I'm making some progress. "expect the hit and react to the block", just this statement alone clicked way way more than anything else i've heard on the topic, thanks! i do have a bit of a question tho. i ve been practicing hit confirming 2 hit mediums or 3 hits lights with the opponent's guard set to random, is it normal for the opponent to drop guard at random after having blocked the first hit or am i being weird with my inputs? this happens with what i believe are true blockstrings, like ryu's st lp, st lp, st lk

It is, if they press buttons or get caught low theyd get hit. By conditioning them with throwing after the first hit they'll open up and start to press buttons

If the opponent changes block between two hits, either it's not a true block string, or your execution is off. In your case, it's not a true block string between any of those moves.

For juri, I been trying to hit something very simple with crouching medium kick (works with punch too), into heavy release, into medium release on hit and light release on block. It’s long but my monkey brain still screws it up. Plus I need to build a better understanding of the store release mechanic.

Definitely one of the first things I do when I hit lab, as a ken main vt1 mixups are my thing so you have to be able to confirm off the mix ups in order to continue the mix.

Good info on the types of confirms & how to see the hit in time. Yeah, I'd likely lose more, looking at the stun bar. And at 47, I guess my reactions (and memory) are worse. Interesting how a match is easier than training for this. Nice vid.

Maybe some people can do the stun bar thing, it just doesn't work for me personally. I know others who can use it though, so idk.

With 2 hit confirms isn't it generally better to only look for the first attack to hit and continue past the 2nd hit when it does? It seems unnecessary to confirm the second hit since you know it's going to link/combo any time the first attack hits, unless you messed up timing. That way you get much longer to decide whether to cancel into specials or your 3rd link after the 2nd attack hits. I guess spacing might play a role in the second attack whiffing (like with ken's b+mp) but I always thought you should just know that going into the first attack so if you're too far you already are fine with just a single hit poke rather than a confirm string.

You are right, but this is a video with all skill levels in mind and that's why i took it from the very start where you have to confirm to mediums all the way to a single hit confirm cancel. But yeah, ideally you would wanna do the 2nd normal after confirming the first ofcourse.

I think i may have wrote it a bit unclearly - i meant as a noob i found it easier to ALWAYS hit the 2 buttons no matter what, but only pay attention to the first one hitting or not. Looking for the second one to hit as the indicator for me to continue further would leave me less time to react because it kind of turns it into a single hit confirm if you do it that way.

One tip for people playing on PC with a 60Hz monitor is to turn VSync off. You'll reduce input lag by about 1 frame, which will make hit-confirming easier. Note that PS4 has a lot more input lag than PC, so it's harder to hit-confirm, regardless of V-Sync.

usually based on how plus the attack is. Ken cr.MP is + 5 on hit, so it is possible to do EX DP. Ken cr.MK is only +2 so you have to special cancel it to continue the combo.

If you're using a headset, is it possible to use the audio to judge your hits? Blocked attacks have a very distinct sound so if you don't hear the blocking sound, that means you hit the opponent and I imagine you could that as an audio cue to hit confirm.

Reaction time diminishing with age is well documented, however it’s offset with a healthy lifestyle and experience with the task in question. Which explains why older competitors can still hang: Daigo has been whiff punishing/hit confirming etc for decades.

Hi MC Mura thanks for the video. I have been practicing one hit confirm with Ken cr mk since I reached Diamond, but I haven’t been able to confirm properly without watching the stun bar. Since I can’t afford to play in PC I’m playing PS4 version. Do you think it’s harder to hit confirm in PS4 because of the higher frame of input lag compare to pc version? I know there is not secrets and I have to keep practicing but seeing all the pro players moving to PC version make me wondering if is still humanly possible to make one hit confirm without looking the stun bar in PS4. I would like to hear your opinion about this. For now I’m trying to avoid moving to PC version.

Gameplay in general is safe and available to monetization because its transformative. Its not like a movie where you don't do anything, here it is YOU who play the game and do everything. Companies in general like when KZbinr make guide and content for their games because its free advertisement for them. You don't need to put face cam or anything, just your gameplay or commentary is enough.

Meanwhile i saw many youtuber got rejected by youtube or got demonetise, actually this is very confusing. they play mobile legend, or another console game like ps4/ps5, so they have to put their face cam. Thank you for the explanation, for me it's complicated to understand because i got a lot of information from forums & community & social media. it's different with your situation, maybe in every country there are different rule to get monetise, I'm not sure about it. For example yesterday i read a comment in forums, there is female youtuber who make video like watchmojo channel but she got demonetise, i don't know what is her mistake, maybe her editing skill is bad, or her voice is not clear to make narration, not using fair use, or anything else.
