This is without a doubt, the best, and most simple explanation on how to draw/fade the ball. Period! Im a 21 handicap, and even i can get this to work so well, (probably better than my "straight " swing). You're a master of this game Jay, thank you.

I thank you for the kind feedback and glad that you found it useful and easy to implement. Although I must say I'm a touch disappointed with the poor view count as it means the methods won't get out to enough golfers 🤷👍🏻

That was an absolutely brilliant explanation. I had seen videos on shaping your shots on other channels but it had created more doubt than anything because a lot of people out there say you can't work a game improvement iron. I had also heard that draws usually went further but never realized the reason was so obvious. Will definitely practice this and add it in my bag of tricks. New to your channel and loving it. Thank you for excellent and well explained contents.

Thanks for the very kind feedback. Would be fun to have you on the Live Streams every first Monday of the month (I do one every Monday evening for members) 👍🏻 We have a great really helpful community so you would be very welcome to watch in 👍🏻

That was great that you expained it this way Im 64, do this all the time when off the fairway, hook or slice/fade depending on shot shape required, you go from disappointment of your tee shot, to reward of your skill to recover, that was well explained

Great to hear that the process works for you as well. I'm a great fan of keeping things really simple. I've got a video coming out later today of my Kiss Method for Short Game.... Might well be worth a watch also 👍🏻

This really works! I don't practice it enough, so I don't always get the amount of left or right I want, but I almost always get the right direction, which is a win for me. And pretty useful for most recovery shots!
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
Absolutely spot on there, and yes most people just need to practice it a touch more to get the right amount of curvature. Generally golfers will find shaping the ball a certain direction easier than the other so, a slight exaggerated face angle on the harder to shape side is needed 👍🏻

Love this. Can you talk about whether you change ball position. What do you do to play high and low shots?

I've done something similar to what you talk about, take a look and see what you think 👍🏻 kzbin.info/www/bejne/iH2bqoV4qqhpd5Isi=Nv0ITps5IX8tvK_f

Hi Jay, Kiss is good 👍 I'd like to ask you a question if I may, can I remove the adapter from the hosel of a Demo MP18 6iron. I help friends by changing the loft/lie grips etc for friends that I play with, I've tried to buy the shaft half of the adapter but can't find any on ebay? So thought that the adapter would be glued into the hosel so heat and pull it out and add a shaft, thinking Mizuno wouldn't change the design of the hosel just for a few demo irons would they. Please help? I'm a guy who's trying to help myself and fellow retirees who can't afford to pay a Professional fitter so I'm self and utube videos taught of which your one, I find your explanation easier to understand than most and watch you on my TV but can't hit the like button or don't know how. I've asked other utube guys but only got a NO but no explanation of why but someone on mygolfspy blog suggested the hosel is different, but I'm still thinking about trying to remove the adapter but if you say it's impossible and you would know as your a Mizuno user as am I..... Cheers Colin from NZ..

Really good video and using the game improvement iron was a good addition, have always been curious if that was a real thing. Have you found flighting up and down is as easy with chunkier irons as well?
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
Up I would say is easier with the lower CG of those types of irons. Lower, I can get any club to drill a ball knee height if I want 😁

@@AskGolfNut That has been one thing that I keep flip flopping on between playing z-765 irons vs 921 hot metal pro’s on being able to keep them out of the wind. Like the idea of added forgiveness in the hmp but feel like I’d be giving up consistency of the z765. Always come to your channel first to help make an informed decision without a fitting

Great video and very simple, it's exactly how Jack does it and if it's good enough for him :) Does the same principal apply to trying to draw a driver or fairway wood?
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
Absolutely but remember the tolerances are smaller due to D Plane 👍🏻 if that makes sense? 👍🏻

As regards the scenario of being in-between clubs, instead of trying to draw the weaker club or fading the stronger club, could one perhaps grip down an inch lower on the stronger club to try and decrease the distance appropriately?
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
Absolutely you can, there is a slight compromise in shaft bend profile (gets a touch stiffer), also a slight compromise in lie angle (gets more toe down), also you are always fighting a touch more against D Plane using the lower loft but slower 👍🏻 If you are more consistent with choking down then absolutely stay with it 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻

I find draws easy but struggle to consistently hit a fade
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
Generally golfers will find one movement easier than the other, normally feeling more of the extreme of the harder flight can bring it back into line. 👍
