İt seems that the leg positioning and the hip rotation in the stroke is subject for another video, but good explanation of upper body coil-whip action for the forehand!

One of your best videos! Question: are you "whipping" your non hitting arm around your body to gain more speed on the racquet arm?
@revolutionarymotion4161
@revolutionarymotion4161 9 ай бұрын
If you are right handed your left elbow should be the starting point of your upper body rotation to make the whip as long as possible. Hope this answers your question!

your shorter videos are way better. In this one you keep saying the same thing over and over again for 7 minutes. It should be at most 3 mins plus the demonstration of Nadal's forehand

Great explanation! Got a quick Q though: my daughter hits with an “ATP style take-back, and extended arm at contact. In my opinion, her technique is “text book” (we have been hammering at it for about 8 yrs lol) BuT* This at 5:02 happens to her 50-60% of the time…. The slightest off center shot will cause that. Can only be observed on slow-mo replay bc real life, it happens so fast there’s no way of seeing it. Racquet head accel at full speed, path somewhat low to somewhat high (she hits through more than “windshield wiping it”) but this just happens, resulting in “framing” the ball. Somewhat frustrated bc like you stated here, control will suffer. Maybe she needs to start benching to build some arms lol!

But the question is do we really need to swing as fast as possible in rec tennis?
@Macbrother
@Macbrother 11 ай бұрын
How fast you should swing will always depend on the context of the point and your position on the court; but all things being equal the greater your acceleration - the more spin, control, power, and options you will have available to you.

Great video. How come you do not mention legs. Doesn't power start from the ground up?

I noticed the fulcrum of my left shoulder on my own through practice, and thanks for confirming this. What about using the left hip or left foot as the start of the swing?
