Is there a word for that part of the movement where the legs flex backward?

Hi Jesse In anatomical terms you have said it, it's knee flexion. To keep it simple with the athletes, we often just tell them to bring the feet up towards their buttocks and then kick the feet down to start the unwinding motion of the body to hit the ball.

PowerCore360 I was looking for more of a specific volleyball/sports term, like “pike” or “snap” Kinda like how gait has specific words for each phase of walking

@@jessethomas9676 We refer the the overall body position that the lower leg/feet help create as the "Reverse Power C" as many top vball hitters get into this position in the air in their set-up. Many other sports coaches use this term as well as other sport athletes will get into similar position.
