So true! I brought my brand new RV home and didn't know until almost the 3rd week that the kitchen sink lines didn't have the fittings screwed in properly and was leaking water inside the cabinet the whole time until I set a cardboard box in front of the cabinet and lifted it up and it was soaken wet. Luckily it was summer here in Tucson so the cabinet dried up within a day or two in 110 degree weather.

Omg Randy, I laughed so hard at your example of being handicapped and getting on the ground to hook up your power. You're so cute! Bless your heart, I really appreciated the effort. I am handicapped and you are correct about moving more. However, I'd have to send you an even funnier video of me just getting on the ground and up again🤣 I just love you and Amanda and all that you do to help so many people out. I'd love to come live at your community but don't see that happening. But I sure enjoy watching the videos and I do learn a lot. Keep up the great work! You bring joy and hope to many of us!

Great show Randy & Amanda ! Great information, and so true how damaging water can be. I’m from Louisiana and we’ve had how share of water damage. My parents had a summer home we went to every weekend and my Dad always turned off the water and made sure all pipes were drained completely. Love your shows ! God Bless ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸🏠

My ex and I had a really nice single wide. We went on our honeymoon and hubby didn't turn off the water to the washer. Came home and the hallway and bathroom were totalled. Had to get new floors from the subfloor up. I got new tile bathroom floors and the washer and dryer got a new wood and tile stand. Thank God for insurance.

Our first home-a single side mobile home we had built- had an issue with the master bathroom shower. They'd shot through one of the water lines in the shower stall when putting paneling on the outside wall of the shower. It was months before we knew it was leaking. So some strange things can happen.

When my house was built, the only shut off for the water is under the house in the utility box. There is no way this girl is crawling around under my dark house feeling around a utility box for spiders!! Can I just shut the water off at the tankless water heater? Doesn’t all water in the house have to travel through the water heater first?
@suefeige35312 жыл бұрын
Cold water pipes wouldn’t go through the water heater otherwise you wouldn’t have any cold water. It would all be hot. You still have to turn water off where it first enters the house to be on the safe side.

I was trying to zoom in on my phone screen but it looked like a 50AMP power cord. Am I correct? My little RV I live in is 30AMP and you can't run the microwave and AC unit at the same time without the breaker tripping.
@DivineDestiny772 жыл бұрын
Probably good to make sure the main house has a 200 Amp main panel if adding 50 amp to a home with a 125 amp older main panel. Doing that could cost around $2500 and take 1-2 months (first getting permitting from electricity provider & then once they give the okay have the electrician do the upgrade). This is assuming the plan is to set up the tiny home as permanent in the back yard. Also good to think about the extra draw on electricity and if the mai house doesn’t yet have solar, to consider adding it ASAP while the ITC is still available to offset the electricity costs (especially if in a tier pricing set up as the extra power draw while make the bills higher year round).

I'm a 48 year old women. I have a house with almost half acre of yard and I have been wanting a tiny home for my mother that visits us every 6 months from South America. I have a couple of questions. I don't need a septic tank right? I can use my own sewer system from my home. I just need to locate the sewer lines of my home to connect the tiny home? Does the tiny home have to be installed right next to my house ro be able to run the water, electricity and sewer to the tiny home? Or can the tiny home be set a little farther away? Since I have a back yard that is half acre I was thinking to put it a little more toward the back or farther side of my house so it has some privacy.

Great information for newbies like me having their first time in a tiny home who has never RV'd even. But my question to you is you make it look simple with the right connections. Of course you're the expert and home building as well. But what about those tiny homes that have flushing toilets which I'm reading are not like flushing toilets in a home and therefore also have black water storage tanks. I'm reading that you can't just use that flushing toilet. It needs to be replaced with the flushing toilet that you would actually use in a house in order to connect to your city sewer and also that the black water storage tank needs to be removed in order to bypass it? So many listings that I read do not mention black water storage or they may have a gray water mention as well. But all I'm trying to do is hook up into city, sewer and water and now I'm freaked out. I get everything is set up for RV which I've never been to an RV park but my assumption is the hookups are different. So you're flushing toilet? Is that of a flushing toilet in a standard home? And why you're white PVC connection is different than a holding tank that needs to be emptied? I guess I need to know what to ask other sellers about their water connections or set ups for both gray and black water. Does your gray water set up actually go into city sewer as well as the black water? And what if a home has storage tanks and that's not how I plan to use my tiny home?

Wait a minute. You old??? Once upon a time, I thought 40 was old, then 50. Now I think you only as old as you feel. Some days, with a spine not working perfectly. I am 20something in mind, and 41 in real age. So way to close to for me to think 50 is a bad age. Randy is in his 50's and still acting like a teenager. Amanda, you unfortunately have to take him by the hands constantly snapping that whip for him to listen. Then Randy turns around and goes, "Whip cream and chocolates on waffles, more please!" So entertaining to see you both. If I can't sleep, rewatch shows you two have done, then start laughing and a few hours later, had to listen to some rainstorm as Randy and Mandy antics never gets old.
