How to hunt for a RARE spawning Western Bull Moose in RDR2 (EASY WAY) on latest version 1.29

Legit spent about a week trying to find this elusive beast. I followed all the instructions, and I finally found one thanks to this.

This is by far the best method to spawn moose in this game. You have a done a God's work my dude. Btw a bit of additional infos: if you want to make sure the file you load is the one you made in the 1st step (since there's only start story in the main menu) disable autosave from general menu and delete the autosave file, leaving your last save file to be the only possible file to be loaded. Lastly the spawn time of the moose is kind of random, I met one in 4.30pm and if somehow the moose died in the inaccessible part of the map, remember you can lasso the carcass for a limited range, hopefully you can still reach the carcass. I think the video speaks for it self...When you follow All the steps for 100%. Even pay attention to the little details i told in this video. When the bull moose won't spawn the first time, Just quit the game. Reload the old save and try again. And it eventually will spawn. Just as described in then video. Even using the lasso to drag the carcass to somewhere else so you can skin it. Is also told and shown in this video. Because the place where the Moose appears is not accessible for the player. So you must make the moose move first .... before you can skin it.... That is also told and shown in this video. I hope that you liked the video and have a nice day.

Dude, thank you so much. First try it didn’t work for me and I was worried they’d patched it out, but I cleared my Xbox’s cache and reloaded the save, bada-bing, there it was! A three star Western Bull Moose. And it works consistently! I did it each time I need a perfect moose pelt and now I’ve finally completed all the trapper outfits. Now if only you could figure out how to fudge the gambler challenges lol

no problemo :) And it's important, that if the bull moose doesn't show. Quit the game and reload the save. If it still won't work after a couple quit & reload attempts. Then clear out your cache memory (console gaming). That certainly does the job, to force things to happen, what first didn't work.

You should have cleared your cache memory instead. It never takes 3 in weeks tries to get this moose spawning. But nevertheless you have it now. Happy gaming.

!!!!!!!!!!! Still works !!!! To be clear , how i did it: (6:30 am) go to the point he highlighted first, on the trail right east of the 3 way intersection. Save game. Exit to main menu. Re enter game, I spawned facing the railroad bridge and I was just south of the 3 way intersection. Took me 2 tries, first try was a 1 star female, second try was a 3 star bull. As I approached the marker area where it spawns i looked down so all i could see was my horse from 3rd person, made sure i was close before i looked up, no clue if that made a difference. Gl lads

Good to hear... that is still works. Anyhow.... what you did on your horse... it doesn't make any difference. the BM spawns or he doesn't spawn. Clearing cash memory can jumpstart the higher spawn rate. Good luck with it.

like i said many times before. Clear cash memory and try again, if the BM won't spawn . It will be patient. This video is the best way to get it spawn. YT is filled with video's that won't work. This does. Have fun with it :)

I have an irrational hatred for moose in this game now and I will burn every moose I see in the future. I am finally done with getting 4 perfect moose pelts and an antler for camp upgrade and trapper items. I have literally been looking for over 72 hours straight in total for this stupid herbivore to spawn ANYWHERE. TLDR: thank you for the helpful guide

For me there are only horses and sometimes a female moose :( Now the version is 1.29. I have only seen a moose near Isabela Lake but it managed to escape... All I could do was study him :(

Have you done exactly 100% the same as, what i did in the video in offline storymode ? If so... then there is a chance that Rockstar probably have fixed this, with another patch update to annoy the players. As what i can see, from other players who stumbled on this video, this trick still worked 1 month ago. And i haven't been playing the game for a while now. There are still some other things to do in life besides playing RDR2 all the day :)

@@max210379 Hey there! As per my point of view, I've done everything 100%. I went until the point close to the hobbit house, waited until 9h30am, saved, exited the game reloaded (but my location after reloading is different than yours though, mine was closer to the point where I saved and I didn't have to slide like you did), then I came back to the point where I saved, cut corners to the point where I should see the moose, and after 5~6 reloads, I couldn't find it, except for horses, female moose, and other horned animals that I don't know the name in English because I play it in PT-BR. Sadly, I've never played rdr2 for a whole day, I've been trying to get all trophies for "forever" :'(. Thanks for answering!

@@Anime4playBroficial it’s important that if you don’t see the moose spawning. To quit the game and then reload. But if you done that 2. Then it probably is fixed. And that is sad :(

Why did you kill it out of bounds ? I explained how to do it properly. You have to wait until all the bones are gone. Or reload an old save

You must lure it down, before you shoot it. That is explained in the video. Try to lasso it. Or else … you must reload and try again.

Everytime I did this trick the moose appears. And if it didn’t I quit the game and I reload the older save and it was there. I didn’t keep track how many times. The most important thing is that is had an higher chance for finding this creature this way, then go camping for days at some other spawn points and eventually you won’t see it. @@judasiscariot7486 Wow that would be awesome. If you do exactly what i've been doing, the creature should spawn. And if it doesn't right away, just quit the game and reload the save and do it again. Eventually it will spawn. Please be careful in that area. I've been attacked before by wolves. And i don't know if you are familiar with clearing cache from your device. I play on my PS4 pro, this also can help if you haven't done it before. I do often do this and also rebuilding my database every month. How do I clear my PS4™ cache? 1) Turn off your Playstation®4, do not enter rest mode. 2) Once the indicator light on the PS4™ has stopped blinking and is completely off, unplug the power cord from the console. 3) Wait 30 seconds. 4) Plug the power cord back into the Playstation®4 and start it up again as normal. It seems a bit strange but it also will help to removing some older cache files that keeps piling up once you play on your console, so you start with a fresh leaf, the moment you start backup your console. I don't know how you do this on PC. But i guess if you play on a XBox, you can use the same way as with the ps4. At least i'm looking forward to your message back, once you tried it :) Good Luck !

The normal western moose have a pretty normal spawn rate in the game. You just have to go up north around the frozen lake called 'cairn lake' . Put some potent herbivor bait on the frozen lake... just leave the place until you can't see the lake anymore and go back to it. And the chance you see normal western moose spawning there is the biggest out off the game, along with horses that eat of the bait. But because the potent bait is pretty difficult to make because of the hard to find ingredients, you can always do this : just do a hard -save at the spot. AND Then use the bait. If it didn't work.. just reload that save.. so you don't waste your precious potent herbivore bate. The trick i posted it mostly for the western Bull moose to spawn it up there and not the normal ones.. they spawn often up North like mentioned above.
