I’ve been screaming this forever!!! This video is so timely. Everyone can’t be an entrepreneur and there are so many broke business owners. People are making millions working for big companies. Running a business isn’t for everyone and this idea now that at 9-5 is bad is so incorrect. I like working then going home after lol.

exactly. I know millionaires who just became a millionaire by having a good job and saving and investing wisely. They were just very good with money. People have different wealth profiles. I've also seen entrepreneurs who were bad with money and they burn through money. I think no matter what u just gotta learn to be good with money and financially savvy and focus on your goals

I kinda have a little issue with people saying ‘am not made to take orders’ or ‘i cant work with for other people’. I think it’s important to be able to take orders and play your role in an organisation. I think it’s part of the learning/ growing process. I personally know that i cant work my whole life for someone else because after the learning process (you know taking orders) i feel like i can do things better than the person am taking orders from. That to me is the sign that you grew out of the space you were in, you can take all that experience and put it into something you own. I believe that taking orders in general is an important part of becoming a succesful entrepreneur.

Not Everyone is made for supporting roles in life. There are nothing wrong with supporting roles but some people are just visionnary and from the start are drawn to leadership roles. Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein and more. We need these people not to be taking orders. They changed the world and their legacy is still Alive today. Also many people are self tought

@purplepinkbabe

Thank you! I’m going to share this on my platforms because so many of my friends are struggling with the “turning 25 is the end all be all” and needing to be “successful” when in reality they just want what social media or society tells them. I work a 9-5, but I’m an engineer. So and it follows my purpose of growing diversity in STEM majors, going back to school for an MEM and eventual long becoming and engineering professor. But I’m still doing a lot more for my community, my network and gaining more opportunities than becoming an entrepreneur with no true purpose just following social media. And still my job is a 9-5. I think your explanation of large goals and making them measurable is perfect. A lot doing understand S.M.A.R.T. goals are better then just wanting what others have and running in all directions to get it, and get it fast.

This! Yes to all! First of all, I wish I could send this to my ex who thinks that he’s a business owner, even though he makes zero money and loses money every single month. Secondly, my parents owned their own company for over 30 years. It made me absolutely NOT want to be a business owner. I saw the stress and the toll it took on my parents even though they loved what they did. I love being just an employee at my job. I work for Hallmark, And my job is completely flexible. I can choose what day I want to work, what hours I want to work. I only see my boss once every couple of months. They don’t contact me unless there’s a problem which is extremely rare. I love just working by myself and getting my money put in my account. And unlike my parents who had tons of employees and worrying about things like taxes, employee benefits, work disputes between people, rude customers, and so much other drama! I’m perfectly happy doing what I do now. I’m saving money and stress free! 💜

This video is *GOLD!* I’m not an entrepreneur ( yet 😉) but I am working very strategically in my job and education to that add that to my experience and definition of success. There are so many benefits to both “jobs” which is why I am working toward maintaining both. I can definitely relate to not wanting to work for someone especially because of all of my talents. @11:35- 12:03 is so TRUE! You are speaking to me! I feel like this and my self-confidence definitely plays a role. But with God, I have definitely made so many accomplishments in one year. It’s like, God is telling me, babygirl, I need you to DREAM BIGGER ! 😊🤩🤪🥰 I’ll definitely work on these tips!

Thanks Breeny for this video and for reminding me that I don't have to be an entrepreneur to be successful.

WOWWWW Breeny I've always loved your videos, but this one right hereeee. This. one. right. here. First of all - so many successful entrepreneurs simultaneously have a full-time job. And I especially HATE when folks look down on 9-5ers. A full-time job can be like an investor when you're working toward full-time entrepreneurship + you can learn valuable skills that can make you successful as an entrepreneur. You are giving it to the people straight!!!

Great video Breeny! The lesson that not enough of us understand is not everyone has the mindset and skillset to be a business owner. Entrepreneurs require committment 24-7. Working when you don't feel like it. You have to understand "husrle" I agree with you, I now know I am meant to be a leader. I own my own business AND am an employee. But I am fortunate enough to work for family in an executive role. I work when I want,, for a lot of money and answer to no one. Another timely video. Love you sis.

Attention being pulled in different areas is a real problem. I agree that you need focus in order to produce the results of your goal. But I do believe that formulating these ideas are a strength. So while I exhibit focus on one project, I still will write down all of the ideas that pop into my mind on a daily. Then, I will review these ideas at a later date because they may even help in the current project that I am working on.

This video was really and truly needed Breeny Lee, thanks for making clear that Enterprenurship/ Self-employment is no different - in terms of heriacy - from being employed by an employer. Moral of story: As long as you are financially savvy, that should be enough to help you achieve your goals, no matter what form of income you have.

🤩 literally gave myself 10 years, committed to being consistent in my entrepreneur journey online and no one is a harsher critic of myself than myself - or I haven’t met them yet. I already intuitively have been doing these three tips. Maybe I am cut out for this entrepreneur thing. I still have my 9-5 though gotta pay off that student loan debt yuh know.
