Very instructive and helpful. I would love to have a class in fossil identification. Also gave me hope that a bone-like specimen I have may indeed be a bone

Awesome vid! I found what appears to be a beautiful 3 inch long X 1 1 1/2 inch wide fang type of tooth that I have no clue how to get checked out. It even has even discoloration all around the gum line and where the roots would be. I found it in the great PNW while out in the woods. Sure wish I could find a way to have it identified. Jes C

I would like to send you some pictures of what I have found and see if you can help identify it, but I am unsure how to add photos.

You could always take your object to your local natural history museum and have one of their experts help you out. Or if you want one of our experts to identify your object, message us via social media or through our website. Thanks!

Hopefully I can find out what kind of fossil that I have and I barely know anything about this fossil but the only things that I now about it is that I found it in Lake Huron up by mackinaw city and I also just noticed that it looks like a shell but I am not entirely sure what it is and the fossil is in my profile picture.

5:56 Gneiss: WHAT Are those markings on it? NOT all think rounded Rock to be an "Egg". You must be Hungry! lol Whether Fossil or not, would help Showing Rock's Characteristics, Keeping it Still so One can See what holding as you speak. You get to see, but We Don't! How does One Learn? 9:50 *NOT an "Eggs",* i'd say, more like a Crayfish, but No egg. 10:03 Thumb is on TAIL. "Offset" vs "Egg Like" - earlier, said eggs can be 'Squished', not found 'perfect'. haha 10:17 "Round & Bumpy"# Above, what are you holding? Still Hungry? this is Amusing. #Look, does Rock 'Bumpy' part resemble known life? 12:11 That's *NO Clam.* hope you did NOT wear Mask Tyrants were Forcing on Sheople. *Please stay Away from Jab.* thanks anyway, even if people below are 'nuts' saying "this helped", all i heard were stories. How did i miss useful info?

Then why can you find crab "fossils" in concretions if they are formed deep from within the earth? And what about permineralization? Or opalized fossils? Soft tissue fossils? ???? Crystal fish fossils in north dakota at Hells Creek formation? I didnt learn anything. Your fossils are boooooring

You can contact natural history museum, or you can try to find a paleontologist on the internet that would be willing to help, which in most cases they Are. Hope you found something amazing😊.
