Hi Arnold, Thank you for an excellent introduction to F360. I've tried to upload your F360 file of the "geneva mechanism" but it seems lika I have to open them separately in the program (they don't seem to be "mounted") is this correct? In that case .. how do open them in a mounted model?

Hi Delta, not sure about 'mounted' but let me check the obvious first; which file did you upload? was it the Solidworks model, the STEP file or the Fusion files? Also, which license are you running?

hmm I have downloaded your linked file but the zip only contains 3 files and not 4? the three parts are Geneva Base, Geneva Driving wheel and Geneva Indexing wheel. Is there a 4th that combines them? looks like three separate parts?

Yes Richard, I know I mention four in the video but I ended up leaving out the assembly since this one is only about how to import. Subsequent videos show you two different ways to make assemblies with the parts from Grabcad so I left it at that. You could always look up that creator on Grabcad to get the assembly.

After a little fiddling, I managed to import the parts into OnShape (used on my iPad) - I use Fusion 360 on my PC. Sadly, “Onshape does not currently support intermittent contacts” forum.onshape.com/discussion/8483/geneva-cam-assembly-intermittent-relation
