Dr today confirmed l have stage 3a low to moderate kidney disease no hypertension no diabetes and low cholesterol due to diet and medication, however all my medication for heart disease says or warns not to be taken if the patient has any kidney problems and after pointing this out to him he dismissed me saying I'll be fine its only stage 3, no advice regarding diet information my e-GFR is 59 😥

I have had CKD since august 2018 but I still have very good appetite. I am in my stage 3 CKD now. My e-GFR is 39. What happens actually to my body? Do you think I only I have a high creatinine not CKD?

That's great you have a great appetite! Poor appetite is a symptom of CKD that people in late stages or with kidney failure (on dialysis) can experience because of the build up of uremic toxins (amongst other things). A lot of the time people with CKD stage 3 don't experience a lot of symptoms of CKD because they're kidneys are still clearing toxins/waste products from the body enough. Definitely check with your doctor if you are unsure about your CKD status though!

My son’s Creatinine in October 2023 was 4.69. January was 7.92. What do you suggest on lowering his Creatinine?

How about taking B vitamins 1, 6 & 12? Will that help improve appetite? But would that keep the person up at night also?

found your channel. Thank you for tge information. Do you see patients privately? Im in ny and looking for a nephrologist. Im scared out of my mind and my nephrologist doesn't seem to explain any of this to me fully. I think I've learned more about my dx on here. Ive had to advocate for myself. I found a renal dietitian on my own ...its been very overwhelming. I feel lost. He is suggesting a biopsy. Im very hesitant bc i dont understand alot of this to begin with. No hx of med issues. Can you please let me know if you can see me or consultation appointment? Thank you
