Shamiiiiir🫠. Let's go man. Ball recognition is heavily dependent on the number of of hours spent on the court. Intensity equals to the will power. HELL OF A VIDEO NICK. Thank you❤

One of my dreams is to have a lesson with You. I started to Play 2 years ago with ex pro as teacher, and she told me to watch Your videos, as ski instructor i have learned a lot from You and I believe I became a better teacher.

Great video Coach Nick. When I was a kid I played short stop in baseball and I would have a similar problem recognizing different balls coming out me, so my coach wrote numbers on the ball and I would have to call what number it was in the air, I transferred that drill into tennis, I got really good at reading the ball in the air, the problem I am having now is I lost some speed and I am 52 years old, with two hip replacements, but I refuse to let my disability get in my way. So I started jumping rope and practicing short sprints, so far I have lost 45 pounds and I have gotten faster, I credit your videos, Sell, and Simond Freund. When I want to quit I watch your videos, and I watch the two young fellas I mentioned for inspiration. You never quit on any shot, and neither does Sell, or Simond. They play with injuries and play hard, and they don’t make excuses if they lose. You are a great inspiration to game of tennis and I really enjoy learning from you. I also like Ryan from Two minute tennis with his birthday hat. Hahe You are the goat though and I am happy you posted this video. I know Sharif has foot injury, is that keeping him from moving faster towards the ball? Just wondering if that is the case my friend.

Do you have any opinion abt the general vision training for athletes? Using lights and all sorts of equipments to improve visual reactoin time, depth perception, peripheral vison etc .?

I think Shamir is just such a chill guy (his personality and character) that "explosiveness" is not his thing. I maybe wrong regarding his tennis, but just an observation with all the videos that I have seen of him here on this great channel. It's really great to see how he's consciously and completely going against his nature (again, if I'm right about it) and doing a pretty good job of it. Of course it helps to have a superb coach with this. Nik, what area of Florida do you coach in? Great to see our champ back! M

Shamir plays well, last words about intensity and explosiveness seems to be crucial, you have to be faster than ball to hit consist and juicy.

as soon as you told him to make earlier preparation the very next ball was allready way better than ones before. am working on the same element in my game atm with coach and i have very similar issues, when i reach shorter balls i usually come without preparation and then am just pushing the ball with my body weight. as far as i've learned, the whole point is to come prepared on the ball, stop the body before shot, coil it, let the arm do the acceleration while rotating the body

My son (10 years) was sitting near to me reading book. I started watch video on my phone with volume ( purposely). First three mistakes he heard and looked at me and asked who is copying me in this video. Exactly same thing I am saying to my son from last 6 months

Nik, at first the answer to the question I’m about to ask you seemed obvious but then I started thinking…. If given an opportunity, would you say “yes” to coaching a top 10 ATP or WTA player? I’m talking becoming the main coach. Would your approach change in any way? As always, I much appreciate your videos!
@IntuitiveTennis
@IntuitiveTennis 2 ай бұрын
Approach does not change at all. My off camera lessons are exactly like my on camera lessons. The intuitive tennis methodology applies to players of all levels. Making content for you guys is my priority. I would however, and have helped high caliber players with their technique, but full time travel coach is a no.

As a rec player, it's hard to beat players like Nick who manipulate their opponent with drop shots and tough angles. Also, Shamir's reflexes are slow when getting off the towel.
