Nice tips...One tip that I would like to add is that...Whenever you are in the serve motion and you are momentarily looking at your opponents serve box. Make a mental target where you are going to serve...and then follow that guide....You should have a mental target of "Down the T", "Out wide" or "Body serve"

Hi Jeremy, just wanted to let you know that I have absolutely no problem being reminded to 'like' these videos. I know that this is how you are remunerated for all the time and effort, as well as the thought, you put into these excellent tennis tutorials. It is no problem being nudged from time to time to like, subscribe, etc., especially as this is how we get to enjoy them at no cost. Liking, etc is the very least one can do, as I know that I - and I'm sure many others - have benefited greatly from your insights and expertise, as well as your effective teaching style. God bless people like you, Jeremy. Keep up the good work! P.S. Your audio seems to be getting better. 👍

Look forward to all your videos. Have definitely been working on your Fundamental Series videos and realized all the bad habits I've accumulated over the past year of playing but watching your videos has helped me better understand my issues...ie framing the ball... mishitting...not watching etc. Feels like I had to take a couple steps back to move forward. But I've been watching the ball more and work on my extension and preparation and feel like tennis is a new sport all over again (for the better). The tips in this video for serves are great too, can't wait to try them out. Look forward to all you material. Keep up the awesome work coaching and sharing your passion with us fellow minded people. Much love from Florida. If I'm ever in DC area would love to take a class or session at your facility.

Great info! I've used ground targets for years, but never really considered air and exit targets. I really like your "lane" philosophy on ground targets; it makes a lot of sense.

Jeremy, great tips on accuracy of serve. For a platform serve, can you explain to us the proper alignment of both feet during a serve? There are so many contradicting advice from coaches. Some say both feet should be diagonally aligned to where you're serving. Some say, the front foot should point to the right net post (if you are right-handed) and the back foot slightly to the left of the front foot (this is how Roger positions his feet).
@FundamentalTennis5 жыл бұрын
Alex Daudsyah hi Alex, there are many opinions on how the feet should be however like anything with technique there is a range of acceptability and I’d like to make a video on the feet alignment in the future. I just put out a serve course that goes into great detail on this very subject if your interested.

@@FundamentalTennis Thanks for the quick reply Jeremy. I did subscribe to your "Fundamental Tennis" at karta.com and seen all the serving videos. I don't remember you discussing feet alignment. I look forward to your next video when you do cover feet alignment.

Alex Daudsyah you must have just watched the free content. I have a paid serve course that talks about serve stance in depth. Lemme know if that interests you! Thanks for subscribing!

Holy smokes! Been using targets in the service box all these years and not practicing the best way. I never thought of "exit" targets. Practicing "exit" path is more realistic because that is the whole point of serving, to put the ball relative to the opponent, not relative to how close you can hit the service box. Amazing revelation Jeremy!

Great, great tips! I can hit lots of aces out wide and down the t from the deuce side but for some reason I can't hit out wide from the add side. Any tips for that? It usually hits the net or goes out too wide.
@FundamentalTennis5 жыл бұрын
James Choi hi, try the tips and drills as the video says. In addition, you can try putting some topspin on it and standing wider to increase probability of hitting your spot.
@charlesowens63415 жыл бұрын
I would had like to have seen views of the racquet face angles from the rear as you make adjustments hitting the 3 different types of serve to different spots on the court.

Great, but I am concerned about the exit targets. As a player with a weak serve, I might be able to get the direction right, but I would not get the depth that matches the depth of the exit targets.
