How To Improve the Disneyland Monorail

The Disneyland monorail in California is a beloved attraction and transportation system. But looking at it from the perspective of the Walt Disney World monorail in Florida, is there a way it can be improved? Here's some ideas of mine that I'd like to see!

Nice video. You have interesting ideas. Some thoughts...The Disney World Monorail is larger and more powerful than Disneyland, and was designed from the start to be functional transport. On the other hand, Disneyland's is smaller, designed as an attraction originally. Back in 1959, the three new attractions were Submarine Voyage, Matterhorn, and Monorail..all sandwiched on top or close to each other. The Monorail left Tomorrowland station and hung a left, going thru the Tomorrowland Forest , around Matterhorn...to show off the attraction, to see how the new Monorail could take turns and new elevations, and draw attention to the other 1959 creations. It then returned from wence it came, the Tomorrowland station- an "E" attraction, traveling within the Park. Note: the maintenance facility for the Monorail and Trains is located behind the forest..the switchback at that point would need to be maintained. It was a year or two later that new track was laid to the then new Disneyland Hotel and Monorail Station. Monorail now turned right after leaving Tomorrowland and the Park. Walt's idea of a "weenie" was to have Monorail now travel along Harbor Blvd. and over parking lot, to excite people in anticipation of going to Disneyland(similar to you having it go over the new parking lot). You have interesting ideas...see that the Imagineers hear of them, Tony Baxter is still a consultant, I think. Best wishes.

I've always imagined what it would be like to have the monorail extend outside the Disney grounds and run alongside I-4 into the downtown area. Now granted, this is something I thought about a lot in the 90's, especially during the height of Pleasure Island's popularity and I was still daring enough to frequent the downtown clubs.
