I was once a person who wouldn't leave the house without any makeup, and being completely pulled together. Then, life took a toll, I fell into a depression stopped caring. No more manicures, or eyebrow waxing. I wore mostly sweats and t-shirts. I'm still struggling to pull myself out of this sad existence, but things are slowly improving, and videos like this help.

Hi Lauren! I admire your ability to speak so calmly, with such presence, strength and confidence. (In relation to confidence and self-esteem), do you have any advice on public speaking? Do you speak this way naturally or did you take any alternate routes to get there? You're so awesome! :) Thanks!

Hey Lauren! Yay or nay on midi skirts? Do you think this style will be around a while longer? Is it okay for a professional environment, and could I make it work on my petite 5'2" frame? Thanks, I'm addicted to your videos and you have taught me so much!

I'm emailing you right now to ask for book suggestions. I've heard of that book "You Are A Badass" but I haven't read through it yet. It sounds right up my alley! :)

My self esteem is so low I don't care enough about getting my eyebrows done, I don't care how I dress and feel ugly 24/7. I need a make over. I need friends.

Hey Lauren! Even items that are generally considered timeless look outdated after a while because the details keep changing. (Take a plain black blazer, for example - the one I bought 10 years ago is much longer than my new one, so it's obvious that it's old even though it's still in great shape.) Are there any clothes that are truly timeless and worth investing in if I'm on a really tight budget? Or would it be wiser to buy cheaper clothes so that I can afford new ones often enough to keep up with fashion?

I'm not Lauren, but I guess if you're going to invest, I would personally focus on a coat, a blazer, classy ankle boots, a pair of pumps, and a presentable handbag. If you have these you can get away with inexpensive jeans, tees, etc. An older styled blazer can still work (especially black) if the detailing is not dated. If it's too long you can wear with skinnies/leggings and pumps or the ankle boots. You can also play around with it by wearing it open or buttoned up, or draped on the shoulders etc.
