This video is so timely. I'm currently cleaning out my closet. One thing I've found to be very helpful is to not try to do the Big Purge all at once. If I do it sections at a time, it's more manageable and I don't feel overwhelmed.

I think that's the thing I struggle with - the example you gave about the Stella McCartney dress is just me! I allow myself to keep some items like that if it fits well, looks good and isn't like anything else I own, because if I have an interview or business meeting to go to I don't want to be stressing about finding something to wear or needing to save money to buy another outfit, I can just wear that! Even though I wear it only once every few years (as mainly my work wardrobe is business-casual) I still keep it - but to me it feels okay so I couldn't get rid of it! But your video has inspired me to clear out some other unneeded clutter for my wardrobe!

Thank you soooo much for this video! Last week I "cleaned out my closet" and found myself putting everything back in to it...The fun thing is that I started cleaning it with my mind set on getting rid of and old bunch of stuff i've been keeping for a while...

Hey :) I actually have the opposite problem. I am very limited in storage place and therefore clean out and edit my closet constantly. I often find myself looking for pieces I have cleaned out before and wishing that I had kept them.. Love your videos so much!

Omg, the polka dot dress comment--I actually have one that I've kept for that very reason, "What if I need it for dress up???" Super embarrassing, but guess what? It's being donated TODAY! Thanks as always for the straightforward, practical fashion tips!

Anika Zebron Ha Ha. I have a purple polka dot dress I wore at my daughter's graduation. I haven't worn it in the 3 YEARS since. Time for it to go!!

Hi Lauren! I love your videos. Since I've found you, I've watched majority of everything you have. It's so helpful and fun! I have a slight fashion addiction myself haha anyway, I wanted to see if you could make a video on athleisure wear and brands you'd recommend. Thank you!!

Hi Lauren (same name here). I was wondering what you think of the whole "capsule" idea? Would love to know your thoughts.

Also, how would you recommend updating your wardrobe for spring/summer if it doesn't get too hot during those months and you prefer darker colors?

How do you do a virtual closet clear out with clients?

Excellent video!!! Great question and totally what I'm contending with currently...however for my mother. She's 69 years old. She's struggling with losing the 30 lbs that has been "the never ending story". She keeps items that she "thinks" she will eventually fit into. I explained to her, and via your advice, that she needs to dress for the body she has now. It's unhealthy for her to keep "everything" as I explained this to her. They also just moved into a condo, downsized. Getting rid of items is key. Do you have anything regarding this matter for older woman? Thank you! 👍🏻💕🤗

How would you style someone with big shoulders? I have a small bust and hips with a slight hourglass from the front view.

Hi Lauren I was wondering what your sales call sounds like? When you are speaking to a client about providing styling services. What do you you say???

Here's a tough one...what about ethical fashion? You know, adults and children working in deplorable conditions in third world countries to line the pockets of the few. I know this is totally not a political channel but would be a great platform for "responsible" and "ethical" shopping. Also when is enough really enough? Thanks for reading.
