Great advice, really does work. I used to do long runs and 2 hours of training instead of short bursts of training to raise my heart rate. Since I started doing HIIT exercise 400 meter fast runs my stamina greatly improved.

@@DariusZD7 arlight thank you for the reply, so sprinting and fast runs with short rest is the way to go?, can you please explain the way you do your conditioning
@DariusZD72 жыл бұрын
@@ManMan-ud2lc Do any exercise 2-3 times a week that gets your heart rate to 70-90%. HIIT exercise is what you want. I do alot of burpees. I do them 35 seconds then 10 seconds rest as many cycles as I can. Usually 20. Keep in mind that your HIIT exercise should last 15 to 20 minutes. You can only do that type of exercise 2-3 times a week because they put alot of presure on your body and you need rest. I didnt do alot of running only 2 times a week one day slow pace 10km run and on saturdays 4x800 m run. Also the best tip i got is to punch combinations of 6-8 punches while on the heavy bag and to punch nonstop to really push yourself to the limit. 3-4 rounds on the heavy bag with that pace is enough. Training like that really gave me the confidence to throw combinations without calculating to preserve energy for the rest of the bout.

Long runs and steady cardio are still needed to make your "gas tank" bigger. Interval training makes you more efficient and quicker recovery. Both types of training are needed, not just 1 style.
@fiontathomas1574 Жыл бұрын
@Cj yes for amateur because it increases your resistance to lactic acid which has laundry list of benefits
@fiontathomas1574 Жыл бұрын
@Cj your lactic acid threshold dictates the maximum level of intensity you can maintain during exercise, HIIT does not train you lactic acid threshold only longer running can. HIIT helps you make use of more of your cardio but you need your lactic acid threshold to be high even for shorter rounds this is common knowledge, why do you think pro boxers run 10 miles instead of just running 3 on 1 off 10 or 12 times? Because increment training does not train your lactic acid threshold. Both are important even for amateurs, although it is admittedly less important for amateurs than for pros you should still incorporate long runs at least 2x a week if not more.
@fiontathomas1574 Жыл бұрын
@Cj yes HIIT helps more but do some reseasrch about the lactic acid threshold, aerobic and anaerobic cardio before you argue
@fiontathomas1574 Жыл бұрын
@Cj you’re right because all the science backs me up so its not up for debate I’m right you’re just too lazy to do your research. Yes HIIT is more important but long distance cardio is also important because it’s the only type of cardio that improves your lactic acid threshold, a higher lactic acid threshold improves cardio even in shorter fights what i just said is a proven fact you cannot argue against so i don’t know why you are
@nicholaskizer8298 Жыл бұрын
@@fiontathomas1574If your boxing session lasts 90-120 minutes and you circulate intensity for different days of the week you will be fine. Maybe you choose to do active rest between rounds, or 3 minute rounds with 30 seconds rest. Even a long duration shadow boxing session. If your sessions are long enough and you don’t overtrain, there is great carryover to Aerobic fitness.

I looked for long time to look for an exercise type how to get faster just because i had no chance against some really not strong looking guys. Everybody said i have no heart. I had heart and only annoyed about those words or half thruths. One day i saw a book library. It was in the year 2000 and written by an real amateur boxing olympic trainer. It had no many pages ha ha ha. 30 sek sprinting and 2-4 min rest at as a main training i dont speak about warming up here. This 30 sek intervall has to be repeated 4 times or more. The thing with this training is you can do it max 2 times a week. Eating right, drinking right and recovery right is the key. The digestion is a very important key too. If you look digestion to wikipedia you see the best is to drink just before waking up 0.75 to 1.5 L wait 4 hours till eating, then only eat, after that 4 hours only drink 0.75 l and so on. The reason is the digestion is disturbed if you drink and eat at the same time. The saliva has to have a good consistence to disgest the food you eat every time. In fact is like cooking, the meal has to have the same consistance, you cant eat on one side good cooked chicken and the other side not well cooked potatoes in you stomach (this produces gases ha ha ha). The other success componet to raise your training effect is deep relaxation like good 45 min Yoga Nidra where you can lie in savasana with something under your knees best in a sleeping bag. Yes guys sauna is nothing compared to yoga nidra. 1 hour of yoga nidra is like 2 or 3 hours deep sleeping. Sleeping in the right posture in savasana like i said in a sleeping bag with something under your knees and maybe some dark eyescover works very nice. So now you have not a reason to train very very hard because the 45 min yoga nidra in savasana will repair your body. You can google everything i said, there is no other better possibility to recover after training. Some professional athletes take some substance to sleep better to sleep better in the night to recover better. If you do one day in the week only for long stretching your body will move with less inner resistance and will be tired later its logical. Coffee and other stimulants or booster or even Red Bull rise your heart and you pee too much minerals and vitamins out of your body what you need for regeneration.

Pulse Rate: 140 after 1st round, 160 after 2nd, 180 after 3rd... How are pro boxers able to last 12 rounds? Even in the olympics, where boxers are highly trained, i see extreme fatigue by the end of the fight. So my question, always was, how are pro boxers able to last 12 rounds?
@nathanaelg93452 жыл бұрын
first, the heart rate doesnt go up exponentially. and the pulse rate counts are just an example. Also, with a LOT of training, u can decrease the pulse rate even when ure exerting the same amount of power (and pro boxers train a LOT)
@boshirahmed2 жыл бұрын
The fitter you get over time your pulse rate goes down, as your body adapts..confidence and skill helps to reduce the pressure on the body .
