The observation of having no recoil in a good wingchun punch is true. The detonator analogy is also creative! I have a past injury on one of my right knuckle, and when i box with the typical boxing punch mechanics on my 65kg sand filled heavybag, it tends to feel sore post-workout. But when i train bare knuckle with wingchun's inch punch, detonator concept as you call it, it feels less stressed, and effortless as opposed to punches thrown with boxing punch mechanics.

How hard is it to do this fast? I mean, say I want to do this while chainpunching, is it going to be slow? What would you do to make it fast? It does work great on a single punch, if your root is good, though. And does so wonderfully.

Have you heard of the Starting Strenghth program. Alot of their weightlifting science and theory coincide with wing chun.

Thats what i thought do you drop your weight sorry had only started watching your clip and i take it keep relaxed slow and dropping your weight improves the power i take it Alan? Anyway brilliant video
