Excellent responses from Alan. 🙏🏼 These interviews feel like trying to set traps and skilled, knowledgeable, aware people skipping right over them.

I would give credit to the interviewer for setting up these and allowing these people to speak openly

@@40JoCharles I found Paul to be quite open.

What traps do you feel I was trying to set?

To Alan, well spoken and well done in not giving the hidden agenda by the interviewer a chance!!!

Try to interview Richard Clear from Clear Tai Chi.

Nice answers to the constant questions and angling about woo, from Orr.
@walkonthewoosideАй бұрын
What kind of questions would you have asked? Genuinely interested as I regret not asking about other 'internal' wingchun guys such as sifu Sergio and Mark Rasmus (both very woo)

Ready to watch this, preparing coffee, ps. You need a logo for the channel!
@walkonthewoosideАй бұрын
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to add a logo, but thanks for the advice.
@martialgeeksАй бұрын
@@walkonthewoosideif you find/create an image you'd like for a logo, you log in to youtube through the youtube studio app and there should be an edit option next to the current logo, I'd love to see this channel grow!

kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGinqnWfl6udd9k You should interview Jim Uglow, who Alan mentions as his main Tai Chi teacher, as far as I'm concerned the real deal

Great interview. It truly is fascinating that, being given a platform to express their opinions, the woo side of the Chinese martial arts have chosen not to engage and have their say
@indefenceofthetraditionalmaАй бұрын
Deeply disappointed in his defence of mizner though
@rumsbums3113Ай бұрын
@@indefenceofthetraditionalma why?
@indefenceofthetraditionalmaАй бұрын
@@rumsbums3113 because alan is normally pretty anti woo but is championing a guy that makes people jump through lightening sent through his thigh…
@whiteeagle7914Ай бұрын
LMAO! We don't need a platform to express our opinion or to validate what we do other than a ring. But then again, what can i say to a guy who doesn't believe in elasticity, density, and pressurization of internal cavities? You talk big but you won't go to a 200 dollar seminar to verify via personal experience... quite the scientist lol

Alan's great, great experience and deep understanding, though if I had the chance to talk with him I'd have to press him on the Adam Mizner comments, I heavily disagree with some of the things he says here, Adam's stuff to me is a big problem regardless if he has genuine push hands skills, his "demos" he does like the ones from sitting in a couch is obvious nonsense, but each to his own

Ha ha I see my comment of a couple of days ago is no longer here mmm. Very good steady replies from Alan Orr about 'woo', re pushes and responses to pushes.
