You’re correct. Supply vs Demand is the most fundamental principle of business. If you have products that will sell themselves, then business is easy. But, not every product will fly off of the shelf. Some items just don’t have high demand. This video was made to help people learn SEO & marketing strategies that are applicable to eBay. If these methods aren’t for you, that’s fine. But, I can assure you these methods do work if you’re willing to give them a shot. Just food for thought.

You know, i've had similar experiences with offers and promotions. Sometimes they work, and other times...nothing. In my opinion, the best way to generate sales is to list, and list, and list. The more you have up for sale, the better the sales get!

Do you still find these tips working now versus 10 months ago when you made this video?. My sales went down about 90% in this last year. I was never a big seller, but went from averaging 6-7 sales a day to about 5 sales a week now with the same amount of listings. One of the biggest things I've noticed is you no longer get a boost in traffic to new listings.

This is all great info. Ive been dabbling on ebay for the past 10 years or so. The past couple years ive noticed a lot my items sit and sit and sit most with little to no views. Great video, and I learned a quick lesson on item presentation, as I have been photographing my guitars in front of a black background instead of white, so now I will redo all of my photos and see what happens. Now I have what may be a dumb question, but eBay isn't very clear on this. If I promote an item, do I only pay for clicks from the actual buyer, or from all of the clicks that the item receives? Think this needs updating, in the UK at least you have to pay the the promotion fee if you items sells or not ! if you promote 10% and your listing takes 5 listings to sell you have given away half the value of your item and them they take the normal fees on top of that !

Hi Coach! This is the first time I have viewed your channel. I like all the info and you don't dish a lot of fluff and stay on message. What are your thoughts on CPC promoting? I don't have a large budget but could maybe do a $5 budget for 5 days to try it out. I have tried the regular listing promotions which didn't increase my views for those items. The CPC promo would probably increase the views and hopfully sales which would help my algorithm. I'm a seller from 2017 but now taking it seriously. I have 40 items and I plan on listing consistently 5-10 items mainly women pre-owned clothing. What are your thoughts on CPC vs Promoted listings?

Thanks for the compliment! In regards to deleting (or hiding) a sold listing...eBay doesn't technically allow it. This is why you're able to see every sold item from all sellers on ebay. However, there is a "backdoor" method of hiding your sold listings by using the "out of stock" option. But it only hides items if the option is already activated on your account. I use this method in my store, so my competition doesn't see hot products that I'm selling (and encroach on that item). It sometimes take a lot of work and research to find replenishable items that are profitable, and it's a bummer when other people spy on you. This method prevents that to some extent. Hey Jody! I don't even use 3rd party white background apps. I take my photos on a white background. A white bed sheet even works in a pinch. eBay also has a "white background remover" built into their mobile app. You can find it in the settings when you're taking pictures while listing.
