I know this probably sounds dumb but What about the use of '&' in favour of the word 'and' or is it better to try and avoid using it as much as possible? Just wondering if this makes any difference to the eBay algorithm, as it frees up some character space for the title. I'm just starting out with ecommerce and drop shipping etc and want to do it all properly from the beginning, obviously there's going to be a consistent learning curve but i have learned a lot from your video's. Great info! If I'm listing an item with accessories, should I add them to the title? How about the word 'complete'? Should I save that for the description? You have to click on the item to see the condition so if its important if the item has the box I think its good to include if you have enough characters.

Great question! I have spoken with multiple eBay reps that have told me that it’s not necessary. As long as you are accurately selecting the item’s condition in the condition field it really only wastes space to add it in your title. It doesn’t do anything for search, and only wastes characters in your title that you could use for other purposes. I hope this helps! ~ Justin

@@CoachCommerce Using abbreviations for the description of condition in the title seems to help narrow down results when searching. For example If i want a Super Mario Bros. Complete in the box, I will include CIB in my search. Even with items like comics where condition is important, words such as high grade or abbreviations like NM help remove the unwanted search results. You're saying this isn't necessary? Also, Ebay's condition field selections are not always accurate when searching for comic books or loose video games. For Example a game cartridge could be in like new condition but not include the package, and ebay would have you list that as acceptable. Also, great videos! I'm just discovering your channel now. I'm curious if you have any videos on the horrendous new updates to ebay's item listing editor. The updates to the interface make listing time take longer. There are only 3 font sizes and no ability to adjust for mobile devices to name just a few of the features that have been removed. As well as having to dive into sub-menus for everything.

Whenever my sales are slow, I try to spend the time I would normally be fulfilling orders to do other things to improve my eBay store (such as getting more listings up and getting organized. Remember, what you list in the slow summer months turns into money when Quarter 3 & 4 roll around. Those are usually the heaviest retail months with the holidays. 1 some users dont fill out the new or used checkbox, so including new in your listing addresses those users that are looking for a new (or used) item and arent as good at searching so dont realize to filter their searchs, and yes this is MOST USERS first search. so adding NEW to the listing allows those users to quickly identify your listing on the screen and its ONLY 3 LETTERS! 2 repeating words in your titles are generally bad but also are a SEO magic trick in some cases for instance you can list trophy mom trophy for gift this will catch both TROPHY MOM and MOM TROPHY searches, so this is actually a good idea in this case no a bad one. mostly good advice otherwise

They’re both pretty synonymous on eBay and both get the job done. I tend to go with “LS” because it saves me a character. Even you’re only working with 80, every character counts. Hope this helps!

Vintage describing the item being listed. I use vintage everyday and would never leave out that important keyword if it is in fact a vintage item.
