Feeling tired, sluggish, and lacking motivation? It may be due to low testosterone levels, a crucial male hormone that affects fertility, sexual function, bone health, and muscle mass. Age, lifestyle choices, and medical conditions can impact hormone levels.
Fortunately, you can increase testosterone levels through dietary and lifestyle changes. In this video, we'll explore the best foods for boosting testosterone.
First, leafy green vegetables like spinach, kale, and collard greens are rich in magnesium, which stimulates testosterone production. They also contain vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber, reducing inflammation and maintaining a healthy weight.
Fatty fish such as salmon and sardines provide vitamin D, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids, essential for hormonal health. They counterbalance the negative effects of low-fat diets on testosterone levels.
Cocoa products, like cocoa powder and cacao nibs, offer magnesium and flavonoid antioxidants, which enhance testosterone production.
Eggs contain healthy fats, protein, and selenium, which activate testosterone production pathways.
Avocados provide healthy fats, magnesium, and boron, potentially benefiting testosterone levels.
Pomegranate juice increases testosterone levels, thanks to its antioxidants, nitric oxide production, cortisol reduction, and improvement in sperm quality.
Shellfish such as oysters and clams are excellent sources of zinc, selenium, and omega-3 fatty acids, supporting optimal testosterone levels.
Incorporating these foods into your daily meals can optimize hormonal health and overall well-being.

I've googled it searching for 'Book Hidden testosterone secrets', 'Hidden testosterone secrets book' and just 'Hidden testosterone secrets', NONE of which show one single result for a book anywhere, so clearly it doesn't exist under that name.

Everyone discussing foods and intake, but for me the biggest negative to hormone irregularity is overwhelm and stress, lack of quality sleep and unclear planning and resourcing of time

I’m curious about ‘unclear planning and resourcing of time’. How does this affect hormones?
@al3xj
@al3xj 9 ай бұрын
@@monkeyboybaker_uk it's the contrast of a person who is reactive, overwhelmed, has irregular habits and the hormone effects that flow from that. This was my story over the last 5 years, and my options were to either work less, or just become better at planning (I hadn't needed to before). When I could better plan my tasks, projects and time, I didn't overpromise, I was more realistic, and this flowed back to my personal health and hormones. Cortisol being the predominant trigger for so much -- I would wake up at 3am with a racing heart, my mind jumping to the next task by default as the old answer was just to work harder. But better planning led to more balance appriopriateness, better decisions, less overwhelm, more flow and a sequence to tasks, so less pushing. Then habits to keep a committment or due date, and the personal well-being and confidence and boundaries that came from better time management was my experience. Money management followed also. Note I was poor at planning before, so perhaps for me that led to situation no1 in the first place. For me the foods I eat are important but not compared to irregular sleep and constant stress from a constant state of overwhelm, which for me was a result of poor planning time mangement

I would definitely try to look into some of these foods. Ensuring that my testosterone stays high is important. Yet I'm also trying to lower my bad cholesterol too. Yet I would love to get to the point of having the physique of a powerlifter or strongman. However, time and money make it tough even if I hit the gym 2-3 times a week and consume fruit, nuts, beef jerky, and greek yogurt after working out.

@@Chou005 Fruits and meat are all you need. 3/4 meat, 1/4 fruit. The carnivorous diet has been proven to show many benefits in hormones and nutrition, as well as both physical and mental health. A carnivorous diet also includes the consumption of organs such as liver, which has been proven to have over 20x the nutritional value of kale, and more so of common berries. Perhaps that's where you missed out? I suggest you do more research and you might be able to structure a proper diet, instead of randomly consuming meat products from your local supermarket, which most likely included poor quality meats.

Also less headaches and my sleep is improving, plus as a pleasant surprise, l've lost 4 kgs in weight. I no longer drink coffee, tea, alcohol and don't eat anymore processed food whatsoever. I am already enjoying better health and sleeping much better. I can only imagine how much better my overall health will be, once l'm on a 100% carnivore diet.

You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health. Lower stress, reduce obesity, get enough sleep and more exercise are key to a healthy life. Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world. Fast food and sugary drinks including fruit juices are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity. Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game. A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community

I wouldn't consider TRT, unless you've decided that you're not going to reproduce for the rest of your life 😅 I'm only 2 years younger than you, and my total testosterone recently came back at 837 ng/dl. being on a diet consisting of a lot of red meat, fish and saturated fat has had a substantial impact on my test levels, my sleep quality, and my general feeling of well-being. That said, we're all told not to consume a lot of red meat and saturated fat, and I can't guarantee anyone that ignoring that advice doesn't have consequences. All I know is that I've felt incredibly good since I started on the carnivore diet earlier this year.

@@Chris-vt6nl From what I can tell, deep sleep seems to be the most effective, natural way of increasing testosterone throughout the day. Other than that, there's diet and physical activity. Certain supplements can increase testosterone quite drastically, but most of them come with drawbacks. For instance, Ashwaganda and Tongkat Ali are popular testosterone boosters that seem to have very potent effects in most people, but the effects are short-term and testosterone levels typically drop below the baseline (starting point) after a period of time, meaning that you need to cycle them regularly in order to sustain the effect. Additionally, very long-term use of high doses of Ashwaganda has induced Anhedonia in some people, which is basically a lack of ability to become aroused or stimulated. I'm not a fan of supplements like these, but again, the short-term effects can be quite profound and addictive. I just don't like how dependent you become on cycling the intake, and the diminishing effect doesn't feel very good. Trace minerals, like iodine, selenium, sink and boron are more sustainable testosterone supplements, but they also have drawbacks, and potentially very serious ones when consumed in high amounts through supplements over time (this seems to be a recurring theme in supplements, in general). These minerals are all essential for the body in tiny amounts, and you likely get that through your diet already. They can all have potentially great effects on your general feeling of well-being, but determining how much you need of them is difficult and impractical. Iodine supplements can potentially cause thyroid issues. I supplemented with iodine earlier this year, and I experienced a short period of racing heartbeats as a result of it, so I stopped taking it. I assumed that meant that I already got enough iodine through my diet, and I was adding more than necessary of it. I do take a selenium supplement before I eat whenever I remember to do so, but I can't really tell if it's contributing to my level of testosterone. So in short, sleep, physical activity and diet are the best ways to increase testosterone. Supplements can compensate for not having an optimal diet, but they sometimes have undesirable side effects, and especially in higher doses. Those three routines tend to be synergistic, so if you eat well and keep yourself active, your sleep will likely improve also. I'm not physically active these days, but I seem to do well when it comes to diet and sleep quality.

So big beefy body builder -- you want to increase your Testosterone -- eat a Salad! :) Ideally with a fish oil dressing or some actual fish on the greens. Plus an egg or two and some sliced avocado -- sounds like a delicious salad. And we should all keep eating dark chocolate. Plus drink pomegranate juice -- who knew -- that also sounds great. And don't forget the Zinc & Selenium in shellfish.
