I made my Shea body butter with out any emulsifying wax or co emulsifier but now that it has got hot I noticed it melted and whilst watching you I’m about to try a lotion as it hotter now with all your guidelines , im not sure how it will turn out but I will drop another note once I can get the waxes to try . Yes you need an emulsifier to create anhydrous body butter.

Is cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol and ceteareth-25 known as emulsifier and co emulsifier? Will it able to increase cream viscosity which is 40 000 cps and above?

Hi there,have been working a whole lot on my base cream formulation likewise improving my emulsified body butter…for a base cream where I choose to work with acids like AHA’s and BHA,what trick can I try cause after so much experiment my end products keeps coming out too thick(doesn’t penetrate well into the skin) or becomes runny For my body butter have been working so hard to using active like Sym white 377 but it just makes my butter seperate at the long run….help

You may or may not. The choice is up to you. Some body butter have emulsifying Wax others don't

Yes you can. You can also use Emulsifying Wax and Cetearyl Alcoho. My best combination is Plant Derived EWax and Natural Wax 2 (This combination creates luxury cream with less soaping effect. Add 0.5% dimethicone in the oil phase. If you are making 100g of lotion, add 0.5g of dimethicone to the oil phase ingredients. Take care
