Years ago, I would be thinking "yeah I already know that", but I would be so blind about my own rationalizations, that I didn't even let the possibility come into my mind, that I might be dicking around and fucking up quite majestically myself. >> It's not that I'm judging myself nowadays for it or hating myself for having failed in the past, but I just tend to feel gross about myself very quickly when I'm dazing off into anti-social mode and consequently I stop that and do something productive or social instead. >> Thank you for putting out all this content, Julien - it has already changed my world! (not only by following TENGAME, but also by watching all the free content here on this channel) :-)

hello julien , i noticed something about happiness that really helped , i was doing the guided meditations , and they really help , but i noticed that when trying to connect with yourself really helps when you take a time alone with yourself doing nothing but focusing on yourself and doing things you like to do without worrying about nothing else , i dont know how to explain this because sounds very cliche and not practical , but i hope you talk someday about this because really looks like with some of the things you say ,and i think you can make this more practical and less abstract.

Yea, I have to say its very depressing to understand just how much I don't know about social interaction. I was hospitalized a few years back also and it set me back quite a few years having to cope with life while recovering. So much I missed out on while I was trying to do that...recover. I have yet to truly recover I guess.

This is sooo true. Facebook and everything is actually a anti social network. I'm learning a lot from this guy. I am trying to learn how to use women's preselection towards my advantage. Like how do I convince them without talking to them that I have a lot of other women chasing me. I used to have lots of women approaching me and I am trying to figure out how to get this back. Can you please help me out Julien?

I might be wrong, but I find a contradiction between social intelligence and social conditioning. On one hand you have to know and feel the environment (intelligence), and, on the other, you shouldn't be stopped by social conditioning which induce a thinking like "what if i'm wrong? what if its not appropriate?" etc. Can someone explain this to me?

Social intelligence tells you here is the line what is acceptable or not in different sittuations. And with social intelligence you even see some stupid things about social conditioning ;)
@FirstLast-dv9ht
@FirstLast-dv9ht 7 жыл бұрын
At the end of the day, the people you speak to are socially conditioned to think a certain way of social situations, and you just have to have the social intelligence to adapt to them in order to get a good response from that person. The whole breaking from social conditioning is good to a limit, in my opinion. For example, it's OK to go up to a girl in the middle of the street and chat her up. It's not as "wrong" as people make it out to be. But it's not ok to go up to her and tell her "Hey, let's fuck" as the opener if the context is not right. I'm not sure what I am saying. So don't take anything I said seriously. Just be aware of not falling into the, "I can say whatever I want. I'm not going to be socially conditioned," mentality. Use common sense (Social Intelligence) or Calibration.

You know what I'm thinking? What if we actually make this whole topic somewhat way too scary and complicated? We want to have perfect social skills in order to socialize and we don't have them. In the end everybody says stupid things all the time. Is it really not OK not to have hight SI? Maybe we can just go with whatever we have? That way we are less scared to talk and less shy! I say something awkward everyonce in a while. It happens.

just do Uber, you wil bel forced to talk to passengers
@LeadVultures
@LeadVultures 7 жыл бұрын
wizrd driving or taking an Uber is an awesome way to socialize but it's only one context every time, and that's meeting a new person and inviting a specific set of conversations (where are you going, what is your job, is today a big day or a bad day). the best benefit is the quick escape if you fuck up the conversation you get an out when you arrive at the destination. this can also be a harsh thing if you were really hitting it off in a convo but you gotta cut it off and never see this person again. if you manage to get along with an Uber driver or passenger so well that you can go get drinks together and resume without it being weird, congrats, you socialize well already lol.

(My father has my old computer & he changed all of the info on it, so his name comes up on my email & has also been changed on all of my past comments. I'm unable to correct it for 90 days- can't get through to Google either. My name is Elisa, just letting everyone know that I'm not trolling on here). I'm really the opposite, (through all of my jobs I've been obligated to socialize with complete strangers), so I can approach anyone out in public. But I don't really enjoy using social media, since it's tougher to communicate something- the other person can't hear your tone, & therefore might misunderstand/ get offended by what you write. In person, face to face, & in public I've learned a lot about etiquette, but online-not so much :/

I wish to increase my perception so I can pick-up subtleties in people’s behavior, to better psycho-analyze. I thought my inability to do-it to the level I wanted, meant I was socially inept. But by watching this I learned that I’m either somewhat normal or that this is just some very basic information. This teaching just seems so obvious.
