I appreciate the video! I didn't know about the CA glue. I'm making a wooden ring for a gift by hand without a lathe, now looking for finishing options. That was good insight.

I also just noticed you use a CO2 laser to cut the wood. Could I use a fiber laser instead?? Thanx Dr Bob

You need a Co2 for all natural materials, you need a fiber for all metals.

Love your videos!!!!! Question….. I want to start inlaying materials into my rings. You use a 30 watt fiber laser in your video. Can you recommend a few for me to look at?? Thank you

Thank you! You could start with something like OMG laser.

4:10 How are you able to rotate your ring while it’s engraving? I have a design idea but I’d need to be able to fully rotate my ring

@@CaitlinSmith-n2j I am just using a rotary that plugs directly into the laser.

@@DreamwoodRingsis that a separate purchase from the laser? If so any suggestions on where and what to get?

Very nice laser work, what laser do you use? i am just starting to laser my rings, but only have a small off the shelf Laserpecker, lining a design up is a nightmare!

We are running galvo head lasers. Pretty easy to line up as you can see it shows where we are marking with that red light.
