I made a solid antler ring from a old shed and used ca as my finish. It looked great for about 3 months. The glue began to separate from the antler. It looked like the antler shrank away from the ca leaving a shell which snapped off later. Have you ever seen something like that?
@DreamwoodRings2 жыл бұрын
Hey, I have not seen that happen! Although with natural materials I would say definitely possible. Was it in a channel ring? Or over a flat core?
@henrykrahn60722 жыл бұрын
@@DreamwoodRings it was made with a solidcut. I cut it at a point where it was mostly the hard outer. I was using a medium BSI. Is starbond that much better?

Whered you get the benches in the back from, and can it hold a jet midi lathe without it being too tall?

These come from Home depot. Super nice to be able to roll around. I have a jet 1221vs and they work perfectly.

Where do you get the cutter tool inserts at 2:15 at, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm using the boring head tool. I actually have not shopped for the bit I'm using with it. Someone brought it to me and asked if I could use it. Is that blue ring blue all the way through. I ask because if you accidentally hit it with sandpaper or chisel it would be scratched.
@DreamwoodRings10 ай бұрын
It is blue all the way through and it is ceramic making it very scratch resistant!
