Just finished this up on my 2020 F-150 (state truck smacked mine and busted my mirror so perfect time to upgrade). Some feedback from my side: 1. Provide the pin/terminal uncrimped so that the user can install the pin after determining the proper length of the wire after routing. Or at least provide this as an option for those who have the tools to properly crimp the terminal. or 2. Trim the wire significantly from what you provide. I had a tremendous amount of excess wire (at least 24") left over that I ended up just folding on itself and zip tying to the existing harness behind the door panel by the speaker. I also routed the blue wire along the harness on the inside of the door and zip tied it to that harness so I know it's clear of the window operation. Sure, I could have cut the wire to the length and soldered it back together but I wasn't going to do that. Other than that, great product, love how mine turned out. Fun fact, you said "go ahead" roughly 50x in this video.

Do the mirrors have to be towing mirrors, or does this adapter work with 22 pin small mirrors?

It can be used on 22 pin small mirrors, though the functions do vary on those - they don't have a running light function.

Hi Ryan, At this point in time we only have an upgrade path outlined to get turn signal & running light operating. I will relay your interest to the team regarding puddle and spot, but at this time we don't have a solution available.

@@noahzimmerman4111 I just basically tapped into the cargo lights as they come on and function in the same manner as required. I'm running the running lights off of well the running lights. The spots are a little more involved.

@@boostautoparts could you tell me what wire on your harness i would need to tap to make puddle lighths work ? The mirrors im using are oem with bliss, puddle, turn signal and spotlights. I would jump the puddle/spot light to come on together.

I've looked at yours but what I've been trying to do is get power telescoping mirrors and get a new panel for the controls on the driver's door that has the power telescoping feature and get the right adapters to wire all that up but I haven't been able to find everything and I'm still not clear after your video if these are just manual telescoping as I assume.

Our mirrors at this time (6/5/2021) are manually telescopic. We plan to offer power telescope in the future and will have an updated install video showing how to add the feature to vehicles not equipped. Unfortunately we don't have an ETA on the release at this time.

No - the mirrors should come with a temp sensor if 2018+. If the mirrors are from us reach out to [e-mail] and our team will get it resolved ASAP. If the mirrors aren't from us, we do offer the temp sensor harness separately to resolve the issue on other mirrors.

So, I have a super duty XL that has an 8 pin set up. Someone replaced a mirror with one that has a 22 pin set up. Can I use this adapter to make the ambient air temp sensor work, and therefore make my a/c work? I am pretty sure I have verified the new mirror has the sensor as I can see it on the underside of the mirror. I have not traced it back ( I.e. disassembled the mirror) to see that it does wire up, but Im assuming if it’s there, it is wired up…

If there's a sensor on the RH mirror and it's not being recognized by the vehicle it's likely that the 8 to 22 pin adapter is missing the wires for it. @@boostautoparts I’m going to call you tomorrow. The air temp sensor is there and it is wired into the 22 pin plug. I pushed the two wires out through the front of the harness and plugged them into my 8 pin. I cleared the codes and the a/c is working now. I would still like to get your adapter for a cleaner set up (the wires are taped down inside the plastic cover) and to make sure it stays out and doesn’t short out at some point. That’s assuming your adapter uses the wires in the right spots. I will call tomorrow. Thanks! Edit: to be clear, the mirror they used was not plugged in at all. The wire from the truck was just hanging in the door. It does not have any adapter.

I have a 2017 f150 just installed my 2 towing mirrors. I have an adapter for the puddle and running light but i dont know what pin locations to put them in the harness for each side. Do you have a diagram or list of the different pin locations and what they power for the driver and passenger door. Really appreciate the video great job and to the point.

So in order to get the whole led to flash as a turn signal or a switch back you would have to run the blue wire like as shown?

If you have mirrors from us equipped with running & signal or switchback you would just need to run the blue wire as shown in the video (we wire our mirrors for the front light to operate as both). The 8 to 22 pin adapter is included with our mirrors if you spec out the mirrors in a way that indicates you originally had an 8-pin truck. If you didn't get it and think you should have please email [e-mail] and they will get you squared away right away.

Our harness only gets the power adjust, defrost, temp sensor, and turn signal working. It does not add spot light or puddle light (we have found the scope of install is too difficult for these features).

I wish I could've known of your business before buying amazon lights. Ugh. Just bought a temp sensor/harness from you guys. What's more fun, is that the 8/22 harnesses that came with my lights have 3 wires that are presumably for the running LED's. No instructions either. Good grief.

I just installed some Lariat lights on my XL. I have your 8 to 22 pin adapters and already installed the mirrors. I have the turn signal, if I go ahead and run the blue wire will I have the running lights? Or is that only on your tow mirrors? Thanks

If you have OEM 22-pin mirrors, the running light will operate after running the blue wire. EDIT 6/26: If you have OEM 22-pin TOWING mirrors, the running light will operate after running the blue wire. (clarifying the mirrors must be towing)

@@mattmyles3908 This will only work on towing mirrors, not the standard mirrors. We are sorry for the confusion. For standard, non-towing mirrors you are better suited using our dual function harness. We will have someone from our support team reach out to get this rectified with you.

Hi, Great video and looking forward to installing my new mirrors! however, from what I can tell my package didn't come with the plastic endings on the puddle, parking, and spot light wires ( I assume this was intented and Im not sure what they're called); my question is, do I need those in order to correctly wire the lights, and where do I get them? or do I have to splice into another power source?
