Wow, this was an amazing video!! I watched the whole thing and I don't even own a Ram, neither do I have any interest in a lift kit for my truck. But it held my full attention the whole time! Having done big projects like this I know how much effort it takes to film it all step by step, and specially to edit it in such a way that it keeps things interesting. Very well done! And I love that you showed that it's totally doable with regular tools in the driveway! (except for the front struts) I also liked that this lift kit provided literally EVERYTHING you need for this. There were several moments where I thought "oh great, now what?" and then boom you pulled out the provided brackets and hardware. Perfect! Also, I like the fact that the RC Lift Kit brings all the bushings for all the arms back to stock pretty much. So the front arms and the rear trailing arms aren't under extra tension like they were with the leveling kit. Much better long-term! Awesome job overall! Well done! I'm actually curious to see some pictures of the truck with the big tires and all! Oh and I just now noticed, you're wearing a New England Drone Tours shirt in the voice over haha, nice touch ;)

Awesome! Thank you! Yes it was so much to edit this vide. I think it took longer than the actual job. It looks and rides great now. I will do an updated video with the bigger 37” tires. 😁👍

Installing the 4" kit under my 2017 now. I have to get a spring compressor tomorrow. The videos are far better than the actual RC instructions
@DanielDafoe-z8rАй бұрын
Well I watched this video and actually installed my lift on my 2020 Ram and it turned out perfect! Alot easier than going off of the rough country directions? The only difference is that I did it on a two post lift. Andy is an animal for doing this off of jackstands? Nonetheless It is very nice doing it on a lift with an apron on? LOL!

Rough country makes a descendant lift kit . I put one on my 2013 grand Cherokee works great and it was cheaper then replacing front struts as it came with front struts and rear coils and shocks 👍🏻👊🏻

I would say it took me about three weeks. That’s only doing it for about an 1-2 hours a night. And I did it all myself no helpers plus filming so that slows it down a little. I would think if you had three or four helpers you could probably do it in about 2 days. obviously depends how fast you’re working.

I know this is a late comment but is the 2wd lift kit a little easier to put on due to not having CV joints?
@gerryortiz7276 Жыл бұрын
So I’m assuming it’s not a big deal if the lift doesn’t sit at the same height going laterally across

Not really. It’s minimal. Truck looks great and rides amazing.

Stock uppers? I did the same 6 inch on my 2011 and im having positive camber issues, cant get it to zer0 out but i have aftermarket uppers for a 2 to 4 inch lift wondering if thats where i went wrong?
@AndyTheXTech9 ай бұрын
It could be. That’s good to know. This one needs upper ball joints now. We were thinking of using those control arms. Probably just go with stock ones.

How does it feel after a year of use? Has it changed negatively from when it was new or do you wish you had installed a more expensive kit?

How did the 37's fit? Any trimming? What size and backspace wheels did you use?
@AndyTheXTech Жыл бұрын
They still rubbed a little. Had to bend some or trim a little. But over all they were good. The truck rides great and looks awesome. 👍

If you get a 2025 1500 with the inline 6, the top differential bolts are even worse. I have been under my truck for 40 minutes. If I am lucky I get a 12th of a turn at a time.
@AndyTheXTech3 ай бұрын
That’s horrible. I couldn’t believe when I saw these. Even the dodge guys I know didn’t even have any great tricks to get them out.

@chickenfixn443910 ай бұрын
Put some grease around the c clip and center the c clip as best you can. The grease will hold it. Slide it in and give it a shove and it should go in. If not take a rubber mallot and tap it in and itll go

Are those 33 in tires
@AndyTheXTech11 ай бұрын
It started with a 3in leveling kit and 35in tires. After the 6in lift kit we put 37in tires on. They rubbed a little. had to make some slight modifications.

Actual was a couple weeks. Only working on it about an hour or two a night. I would guess total about 20-25 hours. But also I was filming it. so set up, moving around and talking took up some time.
