I’m missing the rubber seal that you installed at 3:01. How important is that. Mine came with my truck but previous owner never installed it. Is there part number for it or a way to source that seal if it’s common one ?

I’d think you could find pretty much any thin adhesive weatherstripping. It’s probably not totally necessary, just help keep moisture out and probably stops the cover from vibrating when you’re driving

Those aren’t your drain holes! The drain holes are the circle holes next to the D/loop anchors on the bed walls. That’s where the drain hoses go. Love the dad jokes. Great video!

How dose it do for keeping water out I got my truck used and it’s got a different cover it rolls up like a industrial fire door, but a lot of water makes its way in down the sides so it doesn’t do very good at keeping water out.

Mine leaks a little at the tailgate but seems pretty tight everywhere else. The problem at the gate I think is caused by water pooling on top of the closed gate due to the shape of the cap and then seeping under from there

Not really no… but I also use this vehicle mainly for towing a 5th wheel camper. So miles per gallon is a relative concept

*It doesn't appear to be a quick detach as the o.e.m.for a bed tent,,right?just four fast levers,,-the front is in the way,,thou the quality is more robust..*Just maintain the fabric on the original with silicone spray if you want it to last..

The whole thing doesn’t quick detach, but it will fold flat against the cab so depending on the bed tent it may still work?

It was a good video but it didn’t work for me. The hardware that slides in my existing frame is too thin and can’t be tightened. You left that part out and a few other things 🤷

That wasn’t my experience.. I didn’t have any issue tightening mine or I would have mentioned it. I skipped the stuff about the drain kits because I chose not to install them
