It’s crazy to me how American houses are like 95% wood

And......? The whole west coast can have an earthquake anytime, those bricks will collapse right away, but wood will bend and is very flexible

strictly speaking, conventionally framed. homes (studs at 16" o.c.) are about 17-25% wood, a lot less for energy framed walls (single top plate and studs at 24" o.c.)

so you can , run the pipes in the upper crawl space and the unit in the garage

1:41 Hate companies that use non-standard fittings. They just want to make more money by selling the pipes too. Does this seriously not use schedule 40 PVC pipes of standard sizes?
@jackm13994 жыл бұрын
nope, the pipes are specially made to be thinner and different sizes, to increase airflow within the system. using other types of pipes can void the warranty if their is a problem

I ordered NuTone branded pipe and fittings from a local electric supply store, it was actually much cheaper than if I had gone to the big box store and bought schedule 40 materials. It's also the right stuff to use and doesn't need to be deburred if you cut it correctly.
