I always found, that it’s best to have the fresh water tank smaller than the grey. That way the grey waste never overflows. (As long as you emit the grey at the same time as filling the fresh). Great content keep it up👍
@BrendanExplores4 күн бұрын
Yeh that's a good point 👍. My thinking was I'll be drinking 80% of the fresh water so having a smaller waste made sense. I just need to make sure to keep an eye on the waste water. Glad your enjoying the build series mate 🙂

@@BrendanExplores Yes they are ideal every now and then your going to want to clean the bottle out so being able to get your hand in is a big bonus I have fitted fittings in mine which you can not fit without getting your arm in their they cost £20-30 which is cheap for a bottle that size. Watched your vids for a long time but got more interested lately as you have the same van as me and interested in how its going to turn out as I have just got an xlwb master which is my next project but not getting rid of my Movano just yet till the Master is done had it 4 yrs and love it but got so many new ideas for the Master van you seen the diesel heater hot water system! getting that for the shower.

Id stick the wagos in a wago box, can get them from screwfix/Toolstation, screws to the side of that board. Tidies up that connection, stops it waggling around when driving. Ideal also make them can get them in Bnq

Great to see the build coming along nicely, i would zippy tie the pump cable to the plastic pipe, it makes it a while lot easier when removing it and putting it back in. If you have put the wire through the small hole in plastic lid remove it and make the pipe hole a bit bigger and feed it all through there. You might have to take it apart to do it, but it works so much better. I've done it on all the builds i have made.

personally I would have used a large dog bowl from the range as a sink and a handpump tap for the water. works treat and keeps it nice and simple as them microswitch taps don't last long and are not cheap to keep replacing. But that is the joy of a self build you build it as you want and learn from your mistakes for the next one.
@BrendanExplores5 күн бұрын
I thought about a foot pump on the floor but didn't want to have to keep pumping to wash my hands and brush my teeth etc. Hopefully fingers crossed the tap lasts long enough. I wanted a really good decent sized sink and something I could put a washing up bowl in. A large dog bowl sounds like a clever idea though 👍
@clarkspiemuncher5 күн бұрын
@@BrendanExplores you cant afford to let the water run while washing hands when water is limited and I use a hand pump tap not a foot pump one. ebay For Caravan Hand Pump Water Bottle Jug Manual Drinking Tap Spigot Camping Useful and this water container that would take the pump you have 25L Litre Clear Plastic Jerry Can Bottle Water Container With Tamper Caps

Great to see the van coming along. Maybe you should consider an underslung waste tank for the water, then you could fit a bigger fresh water container in your cupboard. It might not seem a big deal now but the containers you're using at the moment are pretty small and you'll be filling and draining them quite frequently. If you got a bigger fresh tank you could also look at an external fill point to make life a lot easier. I carry a couple of collapsible 10 litre water bags in my van which makes it easy to top the tank up from the external filling point. I fill it with a hose before going on a trip and then top up with the bags as and when.
@BrendanExplores4 күн бұрын
