Thanks for your time and effort putting these vids together. Gives me a good idea of what to expect when I get into this tomorrow. Don't think I will crack the front axles from the wheel hubs instead I will drop the wheel hubs down from their upper arms. This should get them out the way... we will see. Thanks none the less.

Good job on that clutch install, looks like a heck of a job. You have a great shop and set-up in there, I'm jealous.. I'd do more major work to my cars with that set-up. Did you reinstall the O2 sens?

Thank you so much if it weren’t for my wife’s help I for sure would have my garage lol but I usually do all my own work along with my friends stuff and if I can make a video out of I I try to do what I can. But yeah I did reinstall the o2 sensor

have you ever replaced the seal on the rear driveshaft thats right in front of that large vibration damper?

this is a self adjust clutch or am i wrong? Dont you have to tight the pressure Plate with a special tool which gives pressure to the clutch before bolting in?

Not to my knowledge I have done my fair share of these and never had any issues with premature wear or failure after an install.

I have 2014 Audi A4 B8.5 Manual Transmission in 6 gear I floor her down my RPM Slipping does it mean time to replace the clutch I'm on 177k on the engine

That’s a great question, if you drive you car very aggressive and your rpm jumps it’s a strong indication that your clutch is on the way out. I would looking into doing it sooner than later, if the wear gets bad enough you won’t be able to drive the car at all.

Did you have to drain and replace the gear oil in the front diff? That’s where I am and I cannot find a fill hole

No I didn’t need to drain the front diff to do this job but dm me I can try to find some information that can help

Great video.. one question though, how on earth can you torque the dmf to flywheel bolts ? I can get a spanner in to undo them, but there is no room for a socket and ratchet?

Honestly it’s been some time since I did this job I can’t really remember how I did it. I’m sorry I can’t be more help if I do remember how I will deff comment on it

Did you have to do anything with the shifter before you dropped the trans?

No it’s a bar and 2 bolts to detach it from the trans not more really it’s in part1 of the disassembly

It was actually the driveshaft, when I could get it off nice and easy it took the entire thing apart and didn’t do it right but after the vibration I finally got it off the right way
