What diameter is that shaft? I ask because between the shaft diameter, and the transmission mounting-flange on the engine case, it appears that Go-Powersports may offer a CVT (Constantly Variable Transmission) torque-convertor kit that'll work with it... or one that would could easily be made. Advantages: Increased low-end torque, allowing use of a smaller wheel-drive sprocket, and--as result with/without a smaller sprocket--higher top-speed!😀

Enjoy your holidays. Are there better manufactured systems without breaking the bank. There seems to be a no mans land so the choice is uber cheap or surprisingly expensive. Looking forward to seeing the pit bike motor you're thingking about with an improved clutch system.

+pipeman451 Thank you very much! I have ran in to the same issues with sourcing parts unfortunately, it's either super cheap crap or top of the line. Yes the top of the line is expensive but with a build like this the money you verses using your car, my builds usually pay for themselves in about a year which is a great return in my book. Due to the extensive fabrication that would have to be done to use a pitbike engine I have left that idea behind, but, I did find a different clutch system that bolts up to the engines I currently use which claim to offer better top speed and torque. I'll be doing one build with the standard 7G T-belt drive and then my build will have the new system so I can do side by side comparisons. If you want to use a pit bike engine and have the bike to handle it you're looking at about $3,200-$4,000 for a Motoped. They are the only company I have seen that really nailed it. Although it looks just like a mini motocross bike so I can't imagine how often people are getting pulled over on them.

Sinister Custom Cycles can you suggest an "Uber cheap" one? I'm in the process of building the most inexpensive bike possible to truly see one way or the other if the "high quality" parts some companies sell are in fact higher quality and the ~100%+ price difference is reflected in quality or if they're just the cheap Chinese ones anyone can get for exponentially cheaper that they've simply slapped a sticker with a stupid name on and doubled the price(spoiler: so far things aren't looking great for a lot of the companies I've looked into)

Mine looks nothing like that and I'm stuck. I can't figure it out. Any suggestions? I got a kit from gasbike and there are no instructions or anything.
@sinistercustomcycles1107 жыл бұрын
They never include any instructions. My best suggestion is to watch a lot of videos and that should get you through the build with no problem.

That's ridiculous for the prices they charge. I'd contact them and ask. Though a lot of these companies seem to know little to nothing about the stuff they're selling, but it's worth a shot

Looking at the clutch set up is such a major upside to the four stroke design.......My 2stroke clutch is already acting up....I need new clutch pads....just got through the brake in period....The over all design of that clutch looks more effective and efficient.......compared to the 2stroke kit.....

Same thing happened to me regarding the 100 tooth belt drive not fitting through the transmission plate. Mine came too large and unfortunately, sanding was not an option. That job must have been a drag man. Sorry to hear that. Again, Gasbike proving their reputation of sending out poor manufactured parts.

+arry a Good morning! Sorry to hear that happened to you as well. I've never had bad luck with anything from gas bike yet but I guess it was bound to happen. Not to say I'm sticking up for them by any means but I think they just order the kits and then resell them without even seeing the parts so I can't directly blame them. However, as I'm typing this an idea for another struck me to see exactly how they operate. I'm going to call them up and explain the problem on video and then see if they are going to take care of a customer or not. Stay tuned for that one lol! Happy holidays!

Is there a belt guard that protects the riders leg?
