Great video, thanks, man! Just getting into siding (at 70 years old) and appreciate the learning. Also, good to see the pros making small mistakes and fixing them. You make this real and not preachy and pedantic. You are a real human being and that makes it accessible to the beginner masses! 😊

I miss you, glad you're posting a little more regular. Real estate market is crazy right now. Just remember time IN the market not timing the market! My rental equity grew a ton.

Cut your corners and siding with snips. Malcos. Much cleaner than using a grinder. When you were using the reds to take off that flange of the corner post snip horizontal then score down and snap off clean and easy. Nice Vid.

You can just measure where the siding goes into the J part of the corner. But on the inside to fine your exact measurements for notching the corner. Saves some time. And you could also put a carpenter square on the corner instead of chalking lines

Use magic eraser, no chemicals,rags or spilling anything. Keep it damp put it in your pouch and it removes pretty much anything on siding and vinyl fences.

I snap them on like 2 and half story chimneys and that’s it. But if you v do it that way it turns out great

Holy shit he is actually wearing a pouch! Great too see, I like vids for siding were trying too get into it, 1 question is why did you not put tie back on? And the joke is looks good from my house haha, I did a siding job last year and it turned out well but it required alot of educational vids

I cut it square and run the j channel down the face of the pork chop in one pc. But I have seen guys notch it just seems a bit faster to do it with the J
@NWIVeteranConstruction3 жыл бұрын
i actually just responded to another comment saying the same. i think the notch is 100% the answer. and its super quick when i'm not explaining and wiping off boycubs pencil marks lol

What blade are you using on the grinder?
@NWIVeteranConstruction2 жыл бұрын
Diamond I believe. It's metal and for cutting concrete. It last longer than those regular black grinder wheels. Less dangerous too

If you nail your corner tight and your wall isn’t square you will get circle looking ripples in your corner.
@NWIVeteranConstruction3 жыл бұрын
in the flange or the corner itself? for the corner, the worse thing i see is twisted or not square. we been putting em on tightish for 10 years without any problems
@incognitonunyabuisness51923 жыл бұрын
@@NWIVeteranConstruction the face of the corner will show the ripples. You’d see it after like a day after it being installed.
@incognitonunyabuisness51923 жыл бұрын
@@NWIVeteranConstruction a good guide line is you hang siding you don’t nail on siding.
@andrewangelos853 жыл бұрын
Is tightish a word. Never the less you would would not want to mate dissimilar material tight. Tightish or a floating joint is optimal.

@@NWIVeteranConstruction It can look good and then it can look bad if the house is out of square real bad I just like to use the j because it is faster for me
