Thanks for the video. I'm trying to install one of these right now on my IS300 and I'm having a nightmare getting the bottom bushing inside of the shifter housing. In the video it looks like he reaches his hand underneath and lines it up so it'll slide in. But when the transmissions installed there's no way to do that. I've tried for about 2 hours now to get it to line up. I have the other slots and everything lined up too.

Hi. The bush can take a bit of work to line up. Please check section 5 of the install instructions. Packing grease in the bottom of the bush helps keep it much straighter, so it lines up easier. Also please feel free to reach out to us at [e-mail]

I’m trying to acquire the bushings for my w55. My shifter looks exactly like the one shown in the video above, but looks different from both remote mount shifter and direct mount shifter. My questions is could I use your Supra shifter bush repair suit W55 W57 W58 R154 for this type of shifter assembly for the w55 is 300

Hi! The shifter bushings for the North America IS300 with W55 are specific to this vehicle only. We make a short shifter for this trans. Although we don't list a repair kit for the OEM shifter we can make one for you by special order. Please contact us in our website and we will be able to help.

I’m planning on buying this when your back in stock, but I have a question... I not only want a short shifter but I also want the shift lever to be much lower than stock. Can I screw on the shifter knob to the short shifter shaft without using the shift lever? If not, what is the thread pitch of the shifter shaft? I will mock up my own shifter lever that’s much shorter. Thanks!

Hi, We are back in stock now :-) The thread pitch where the upper shift lever attaches to the main shifter assembly is 14 x 2.00mm. The gear knob thread pitch is 12 x 1.25mm, so the shift knob can't be screwed straight onto the main shifter assembly. You could make a custom upper lever which is shorter, but when you shorten the shift lever it will increase the effort required to shift gears.

Do you need to grease the crown bush, like a lot, not only for an install? I heard that you really NEED to grease it with a white lithium. I also saw some people on internet do it. So... do you?

Hi, We recommend some high temp bearing grease to lube the crown/castle bush. You don't need to use a lot of grease, just a decent smear on both the inside of the castle bush and the pivot ball. Once installed the shifter will also get some lubrication from the trans oil as it sloshes around inside the trans under normal use.

Hi Tomi, The short shifter we have in this video is for the North America spec IS300 with 5 speed trans. Unfortunately we don't make a short shifter for the Altezza 6 speed as yet.

Unfortunately it wont fit. The shifter set up is deceptively very different on the IS300 vs the IS200.

I have a w58 swapped is300 with the direct mount shifter from an sc300. The housing has been extended to fit in the factory position. Will this fit onto my trans?

Hi, Our IS300 short shifter will suit IS300 factory manual cars only. Our SC300 short shifter will suit your IS300, with manual swap from an SC300.

Hi, Unfortunately the JZX110 shifter is different from the IS300. We are however making a short shifter for the JZX110 which should be released later this year
