How to Install the deck belt on a craftsman LT 1000 a craftsman LT 2000 a craftsman DYT 4000 And craftsman LT 4000

Nobody is showing how to reconnect the cable on back end of deck and what it's for. It has a little gasket that is loose and I'm unable to reconnect it with gasket up against holder. Can you show how and when to reconnect it. My belt has slipped off twice and I'm thinking it's because this cable fitting was installed wrong????

You need to change your title from deck to belt.
