Loctite 55 thread sealing cord is my go to for putting radiator tails etc together, I’ve found it works first time, every time whereas I found PTFE tape to be a bit hit & miss.

I was going to suggest you could pipe the other radiator up and put blanks on till the parts arrive so it would just be a case of draining, removing caps ,fit parts and refill. They do look very nice radiators though.

Hi mate, my bosch stud/pipe finder does seem to work 90% of the time, I’ll look the model number up later, so might be worth a shot

I'd rather use loctite55 and jet blue than PTFE. What a pain for painting the skirting in future though. Would of been better if the tails came out above the skirting. Also in this instance plum with the architrave is more important than having the vertical rad level. The frame will pull a persons eye more than the skirting or pictures/ shelves hung next to it.

so if the skirting is not level, should the radiator replicate the skirting line anyway?

Given the closeness of the wooden door surround Id suggest making it match so it doesnt look odd from a distance.
