I love Jason's idea about leaving 3 or 4 tabs to screw in. Then tape or mask.

Not mei hate that....always 1 up 1 down ....but u shouldn't use a 90 takeoff....use a top or a side takeoff ...

I recommend cutting a smaller hole first and it will be easier to cut the marked out hole. I use a sheet metal screw to penetrate the duct then pry open with reds to cut out centre then cut the marked out line. To mark out the hole for round universal take-off as shown in the video you can use one size up of a 90' and just cut within the line to get a good fit everytime. Remember cutting less is better than cutting too much or else you gotta pop up about four of the tabs so you can secure to duct with screws then use Tin tape or duct sealer/ Larger gaps may require both.

Turning your camera right side-up might help with your YT Thumbs Up count.. lol. Otherwise, can still see video. Thought I had to buy a Malco hole maker but the screwdriver/snips method works too. Thanks

Remi Aubin thank you for your suggestions in your comment. I'll take them under advisement when making future videos. I did video it right side up. When I edit it later I turned the video sideways to fill the whole screen. So I would not have black gap spaces on the sides.

Would it ever be advisable to install an elbow actually inside the duct towards the air flow to "catch" more heat ?

Marc Desrosiers Thank you for your question in your comment. No it would not be advisable to install any type of fitting inside the duct. The system works on positive pressure. If your system is designed and built correctly the cfm is enough to deliver the correct amount of conditioned air throughout the conditioned space.

Why not just use a hole saw?

Green Life Omaha #GLO cause that costs a lot of money and it's only one size...use some malco or dewalt shear attachments. Much easier than using tin snips
