How To Install a Fire Extinguisher In Your Car

In this video I go over how to mount a fire extinguisher into the center console of a Subaru BRZ, this should also work in the Scion FRS or Toyota GT86. I used a 9x5 1/8th inch plate of aluminum to create a secure mounting bracket for a 2lb harbor freight fire extinguisher.

Short Bolts & Tap: pick something that is less than 1/4 inch if you can find it in length 1/2 will work but you'll end up drilling additional holes into the console.

Does/did it need to be within reach from the driver's seat? Could it be on the passenger seat footwell (just in front of the seat)? Or, mounted in the hatch area?

That's not a bad idea; I could get a shop to CNC the design and throw in some hardware and a tube of loctite... Let me think about this, definitely considering it.
