I would recommend, if removing the A-pillar, to disconnect the negative battery terminal first (just in case you accidentally activate the airbag).

Vehicles can be slightly different. Most modern vehicles only deploy airbags if weight is detected in the seating, other cars needs to be running.

I have a 2018 F250 with side curtain airbags. All the videos I've seen involve routing the wire to the rear window dashcam along the top edge (front to rear). I am concerned the wire might interfere with operation of the airbags. Any suggestions?
@poetnk Жыл бұрын
It won't interfere. Your side curtain airbags are under something like 3000 psi when deployed. They will blow out anything in the way, including a small wire running along the side of the pillar, if it's in the way at all.

I have the double fuse hardwiring cable, do I also need Fuse Taps? I wouldn't think so, but not sure. Thanks

This could've been more useful if you continued showing the wire path for the *rear camera*

@@ChrisCoolski Camera goes on the glass, your glass has a tint, remove the tint where the camera goes. End of the deep thinking. also, dont run the cable as the guy in the video if you have that door on the trunk or you will tear the camera when you open it :D

It feels a bit medieval I'd say.... possibility to cause thousands $ of damage while installing $70 toy.
@steve88039 ай бұрын
@niktarasyuk8514 I've installed several dashcams, no damages at all. And it's not a toy, you don't play with it. All it does it take footage while you're driving. Hopefully you won't ever be in a situation where you'll have to refer to the footage, but if you do you'll be thankful for it.
