That is the weirdest faucet I've seen. It's got a plastic knob on the stem that looks like it's from a gas stove from the 40's. And unlike every hose bib or boiler drain I've ever seen, it had female what looked like pipe threads. Pipe are finer and are tapered, hose threads are courser (about 7 1/2) threads per inch so you can quickly spin that hose fitting on by hand, No wonder they had a hard time getting a hose on there. That looked like a good hose you got, nice machined brass fittings. Nowadays they've started putting aluminum fittings on to save money. And then you get electrolysis and after 3 months you need a vise grip to get it off.

@@davidmarquardt9034 The homes around here are from 1986 and newer. You are right I have never seen Hose Bibbs like that either. I was unable to find a vacuum break with male threads. Thanks for watching.
