That is the one of the best "how to's" I've watched. Great camera work, very good step by step instructions, excellent reference to parts. You nailed it. I've got a customer's retail shop whose door is dragging on the threshold and will not fully close on its own. I started to remove the door to shim the pivot hinge, but it was too heavy to handle myself and couldn't get the screws out of the top hinge. Feels like they have oxidized in place. I wasn't using a #3 bit tho so I'll try that after I order your bottom hinge pivot replacement. That will allow height adjustment to clear the new threshhold I made out of pressure treated that was thinner than the aluminum one but is still keeping the door from self closing. May get the top one as well.

the product does not come with backplate. Where do we get that to make hole and do installation? Urgent help needed.

Do you mean an "easy out?" Drill a hole that fits the easy out, hammer it in, then unscrew counterclockwise.

I just changed mine. Video was a huge help. I just unscrewed the post part at the bottom and screwed in the one off of the new one. I was thinking exactly what you commented and didn’t want to pull up the threshold unless absolutely necessary.

After 40 + years of doing mechanical work and a few hand injuries I started using gloves more in my 40s . There is something about having clean hands and no injuries.
