When I put on the fiber gasket and support flange and tighten it doesn't go all the way up to the bottom of the sink basin like I had imagined it would. I can fit my finger (small female) width-wise in between the flange and the underside of the sink basin. Any tighter and the support flange bends and the retainer ring pops off. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?Thanks in advance. Your videos have been really helpful.

This video and another was super helpful! Problem is now I can’t get the garbage disposal back on the three prongs and turn. I don’t know if they were kind of rusty and corroded. I hate to call a plumber and spend a lot of money just to put it back on after I cleared the clog myself. 😢

Hey Adam. How can I stop the bracket under sink with screws from spinning when I attach disposal?

Wayne A. Kinney I believe you need to screw the screws in order to hold the drain stuff in place. Add the disposal after they are tight.

The rubber is for non putty installation. On top of that, it's supposed to be over the sink (where you put the putty) and not under.
