Good video ,i think u will eventually source a bigger burner ,I purchased a outback wood burner with double shelved oven on the side for cooking at my allotment,I purchased a quite good quality one with one eye on all the countries without power,I purposely brought portable in case I need to bring home threw the “dark winter” we have been promised,let’s hope it never has to leave my allotment

Thanks for watching, im actually thinking of extending the shed, adding a other room, if i do then ill prob upgrade the burner.

" The heat is... OOww ..Special" lol.. love it, how big is your shed?
@CookiesAllotmentDevon4 жыл бұрын
Hi m8, where the flue is it’s 2 metres. 3-4 metres of flue? If you aren’t confident then speak to someone, also when u buy a co alarm but one that has the background level display, as being exposed to low levels on a daily basis is just as bad as a high dose, as it builds up.

Great video, did you cut the felt away under the silver square on the roof or just put it on and seal it?
@CookiesAllotmentDevon4 жыл бұрын
Keith Biggerstaff hi ken, thanks for watching, I left the felt there. It is screwed as well. Are you fitting one?

Hello mate I'm hoping you can give me some information on your little log burner I've got a 16ft x 12ft shed i want to install a small possible home made woodburner but I'm being given all sorts of horror story advice in particular about distancing from combustibles ie shed walls and roof but after watching your video it all looks fairly simple i like your stove itself was that home made also how big is your shed many thanks dave
@CookiesAllotmentDevon2 жыл бұрын
Hi dave, if you look on the internet you can find out distances from combustible/ non combustible surfaces, the only tip i would give is when u get a co alarm buy one with a display that shows you the background co levels, as lots of small doses can be as bad as a large dose. And never leave it unattended
@davidholmes26652 жыл бұрын
Hello mate wondered if you could supply some information on the stove like dimensions and so on also the size of your shed and how well it heats it also how long it burns for when filled up and the draft shut down look forward to hearing from you dave

Thanx for the info and entertainment. If ur twin wall flue was 7", what size of hole in the roof is required ? Is it 30mm extra all around or what ??
@CookiesAllotmentDevon Жыл бұрын
I did it roughly about that, i think i used some of the 500’ sealant around the edge of the hole.

Hi there, what pipe tubing did you use to come directly from the back of the log burner please? Don't suppose you have a link to where I could buy some please? I have a really old stove from a locomotive and the external diameter of the flue is approximately 3.5 " thank you

What sealer did you use on the roof m8
@CookiesAllotmentDevon4 жыл бұрын
For the aluminium to the shed roof a product, called CT1 in clear. It’s about £11 a tube but it’s brilliant.

Where did you get the grommet for the roof seal impressive
@CookiesAllotmentDevon4 жыл бұрын
Hi Gordon, I purchased the part you mentioned off eBay. It’s silicon based and I believe heat resist ant to around 300+ degrees

Not a fan of that stove design. Open the lid to add wood and fill the shed with smoke!! 🤦♂️
@ashwright47708 ай бұрын
Use the bottom loader only when using indoors maybe. Smoke probably will leak from that hinged lid though
