How to Install a Mountain Tactical Tikka Arca-Lite Rail

I shot one on my T3X CTR in 308 for the first time last weekend. It was SUPER easy to install and a complete game-changer when shooting. It mounts up to the rifle and is rock solid. Mounted on a Vortex Radian Carbon tripod w/ Ball Head, I was able to consistently (~90%) make hits from a seated position on milk jugs out to 600 yds in field conditions (SW Montana sagebrush country). As always, amazing products from an amazing company.

I also have the CTR, would this rail fit with the tikka factory wider fore end stock attachment?

@@crazyeyes1533It actually fits best in my opinion with the wider forend. I have the rail on 3 of my Tikkas, 2 of which have the wider grip.

My feeling is to get the long arca rail like this - just in case you want to ever use a tripod. Tripods typically mount midway on the gun bottom, just forward of the trigger guard. Not crazy about adding extra weight to a field gun, but this MT rail is light and tripods are gaining ground for hunting. I'm still just using a bipod, but probably will start using a tri at the range soon.

Is the UPR compatible rail available yet?

Each of our rails can be mounted to the UPR. A gunsmith needs to install thread inserts for mounting it since it is a fiberglass stock. The good thing is, fiberglass is so rigid, that rail would be solid!

Hi quick question for you, I have the tikka T3X CTR model with the additional factory tikka fore end that attaches with the two bottom screws on the stock, would this rail fit with this additional factory tikka fore end on the rifle?

Great question! We need to show this in a video. The mounting hardware we provide works with the beaver tail forends on the CTRs and Varmints. It looks awesome with that combination!

Your site says it will fit "Varmint Variants", but just checking if this is good for the newest Super Varmint? I've got a separate pair of screws behind the swivel stud that measure 5" spacing.

We actually make an M-Lok version that fits great on the Tac-A1. It’s under the Arca tab on our website

You should have the same mounting points in the video. Our Super Varmints have them.
