Any advice on where to pick up the specific adapter? I purchased the sink second hand and I am finding it so hard to find one that fits!

I installed a similar model (the Masey model) and it all seemed good but I keep getting a leak when I hook the hot water line to the hose which connects to the faucet. I have reattached and it seems like it is a good connection but is still has a significant leak. I am wondering if maybe there was supposed to be some sort of a washer or connector inside the line to the faucet. For now, I just turned off the hat water lead and am using the sink with just the cold water. Any tips?

thanks for the helpful video. so you don't need to use any teflon tape when installing the faucet? how about on the angle stops?
@HomeRepairHub Жыл бұрын
You shouldn't need to. I assume you are talking about the shutoff valve? You shouldn't need to, but it depends on the valve.

Hey buddy we just upgraded our bathroom and installed 2 of these faucets. It's only been about 1 year and all of a sudden both water faucets have barely any pressure. Had this happened you you. I am trying to unscrew the aerator to clean out but I am having a hard time finding the proper tool to unscrew it.

I made sure the blue side arrow faced the sink but the faucet handle turned backwards not forward. Hot was fine. Is there a flaw on the blue side or does something need adjusting?

Opposite for me: the cold is rotating correctly, but the hot is rotating backwards. Anyone figure it out?

hey Aaron, thanks for this video. I'm having a problem with this installation, viewing your video I see no difference in what you did to what I did. The problem I'm having is at just about 3:50 in your video: the supply lines are spewing water at the connectors to the fauctes (both). Is there some type of washer that's supposed to be in the connector that might be missing for me? I'm going hand tight, as tight as I can (and I'm no wuss..). Any thoughts/suggestions?
@HomeRepairHub2 жыл бұрын
did you put the tap adapters on the supply lines? Which side is leaking water? The faucet side or the supply line side? There is no washer on the faucet side.

If one tap itself begins to leak, how do you fix it? I feel like it's an internal washer issue because at the actual handle shut-off point, it used to drip, but at about 15-20 degrees prior to that point, it would shut off, so that's how I turned off that tap. I put up with the ugliness of asymmetric looking 'off' positioned handles. Now, suddenly the waterflow only tapers off slightly throughout the clockwise turn and doesn't shut off at all in that one tap. I thought this was an indestructable brand?
@HomeRepairHub3 ай бұрын
Sounds like a cartridge issue. You may need to replace the cartridge in the handle. Is it the same one as shown in the video?

what tap adapter did you use for the supply line?
@HomeRepairHub3 жыл бұрын
What size is you supply line? Are you installing the same faucet? Did it not come with the tap adapter? Its 1/2"x3/8". If you are looking for that specific tap adapter you can call pfister and they should replace it.
@TrussttN01 Жыл бұрын
@@HomeRepairHubpfisssssster should include the hoses to begin with. POS product.

@@HomeRepairHub You said 5/8"x3/8" in the beginning. That's causing a bit of confusion. Otherwise, well done.

Do you recommend using silicon or plumbers putty at all or are the washers enough?
@HomeRepairHub3 жыл бұрын
I usually use plumbers putty over silicone. I think it's easier clean up and you it stays good for longer. For the drain in the video I didn't need to use anything as the washer was enough. I also had a brand new sink and vanity so I think what you need to use depends on the situation. As long as there is a washer for inside the sink usually you don't need plumbers putty. If there is no washer I use plumbers putty.

What you are installing is easy because you have easy access to the back of the sink/badin. What about replacing the faucet on the existing basin? Normally, access is not easy.

Unfortunately, you left off one of the hardest parts, which is how to tighten down the faucet nuts underneath and still keep the faucet lined up properly so the hand is facing the correct way. That is, how to do this by yourself with faucets that are just a few inches from a backsplash.

Problem I've had is that the faucets keep twisting and won't stay in place, despite making sure they were tightly held. Work themselves loose. And have doubts about how long these cheap plastic pipes will last. Next time will look within the box to see just how substantial the fittings/pipe are. Fast ain't always the best, and having know several people's houses that were decimated by a plumbing leak (one just recently-had to keep moving from hotel to hotel over 4 months until the repairs were completed), not happy that the faucets are twisting so easily, and already leaking. Spending my afternoon doing it again. Won't buy any plumbing fixtures like this again.

Why is it, in these videos, so easy to access the counter holes? This is not real life.
@1DarlingTexas3 жыл бұрын
Your video was helpful but sadly it was not enough. This is the worse product we've bought in a long time. Definitely not for the DIY's who don't know about plumbing. The instructions are worthless, you don't have what you need to complete what's supposed to be a small to medium job. We are four days into this and we've bought so many adapters it's ridiculous. If you're considering this product, don't buy it! Now we're having to hire a plumber to come and figure this mess out, I'm extremely disappointed. But I want to thank you for at least making it look easy, and giving us a glimmer of hope that we could actually do this. I know you've helped a lot people across KZbin land.

I can assure you I have zero knowledge of plumbing...in fact is scares the crap out of me. I installed one of these by simply watching one of these DIY videos and had zero issues. These things are just about as plug and play as it gets
@TrussttN01 Жыл бұрын
The cheap pfister bastards didn’t include hoses. So add $20 or so to the price you paid for the faucet. And prepare to run back and forth to the hardware store until you are lucky enough to find 2.
